Sidebyside model 20-27 freezer drain hole freezes over

turn the refrigerator off and use warm to hot water to thaw out the ice at the drain hole. the drain hole may be frozen a couple inches below the top so make sure you use enough hot water to thaw it completely out. if you have a portable air tank you can then try blowing air thru the hole. or you can take a coat hanger or similar object to try and gently dislodge the obstruction. once you have the obstruction dis lodged you should be able to freely pour water thru the hole.

Refrigerator problem

There are 2 wires going into the compressor. They go to an overload and a relay. If the fans are operating and you have no power to those 2 wires you are going to need to replace the main board.

I have a GE fridge, it is a GSH25JSRFSS model,

Sometimes you can call GE and get help but most times not if the year warranty has expired. I personally have never found any problems other than the board itself just having a bad relay or a circuit blown off the back. Thunderstorms are hard on them too. Below is a link for the model unit you asked about.

Why is the water not dispensing

Most likely the dual water control valve for the dispenser side has failed. You may test the power to the valve by unplugging the side that goes to the dispenser and placing a voltage meter into the female section of the wires and have someone press dispense while you read the voltage. If you get you normal voltage like 110 - 120 volts AC and the valve does not open then replacing the valve will solve this.Let me know what you find, Sea Breeze

My refrigerator has been having

Sounds like it the compressor starter/overload relay. It's located near the compressor and should click when it tries to start the compressor. If it's bad it will rattle when you shake it because the internal parts can be burnt. The 110 degrees doesn't seem too hot. Make sure the condenser fan near the compressor run when the compressor does. Most of the time when there is noise from the control board that is trouble. It's not easy to check but sometimes you can see a burnt area if there is a problem. Post your model number for diagrams.

ICE MAKER

to solve the frozen food problem, turn the temp back to 4. this should be the factory recomended setting. the only dispensing crush ice is probably a bad solinoid. you will find this behind the back wall. it engages to lift the thin metal rod on the bottom of the ice bucket to dispense cubed ice. and the ice being frozen in the bucket is probably a bad ice flapper in the door. it's letting warm moist air into the ice bucket that is freezing

Ice maker not working but water does work

Check to see whether the ice maker has been turned off. Here's how to check. Look for a wire along the right side of the ice maker that looks a bit like a coat hanger. If this wire is in the raised position, the ice maker is turned off. On some units you simply lower the wire to the down position to turn the ice maker on. On others, you lower a small red plastic lever to lower the wire. If the wire is in the proper position check the freezer temperature, it should be between 0-8 degrees Fahranheit. If it is warmer than 10-12 degrees, the ice maker may not produce any ice. Check your door seals and thermostat, repair/replace as necessary.
