Just had this microwave installed. When the counter light is on, the microwave becomes extremely hot inside.

pretty normal. the light generates a lot of heat. microwave is all metal, so it transmits the heat pretty well.

How do I remove the keypad on JVM1540?

Remove the air grill first. Should be a couple of screws. Then you will see one screw holding the keypad in on top. Take it out and it will tilt forward. Make sure you unplug any power source first before you try removing any screws. Once you have the keypad leaning forward there will be some connectors holding the keypad in. Unplug those and lift the keypad up and out.

I need to replace the handle.

To access the door handle mounting screws on MOST microwave ovens, you have to remove the inner door panel that goes around the perimeter of the glass. You can use a small screwdriver to carefully pry the plastic up and work your way slowly around the perimiter of the glass. Most microwave ovens also have grooves in the panel that you can insert the screwdriver into. Use care not to pry against the glass. The glass is tempered and also has an RF shield that prevents harmful microwaves from potentially harming the consumer. If you break the glass, you will need to purchase a new door.

The door handle screws are located behind the inner panel. Simply remove the broken handle and install the new one. Re-insert the inner door panel carefully and gradually work your way around the perimeter of the door glass and make sure it snaps back into place.

If you have questions, please let me know. I hope you find this information helpful.

Microwace noise coming from top and flashing

dont use the microwave until you retrieve what dropped inside when you removed the port. The grinding is most likely a foreign object that is hitting the moving parts of the microwave and causing sparking. It can catch fire

Kitcehaid ykhms155lss-0 night light does not dim

We see and repair this a lot. The problem is on the controller assembly. This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a failure on the controller. The lights can can be inoperable or stuck on or stuck in "night light" mode. Sometimes this will similarly affect the fan operation or inside light, too. Since the circuit boards are no longer available, repair is the only option. Details are here.

JVM1340 lights not working

Hi,Behind the top grill above the door is an access panel to change the light bulb. If the bulb is good but light still don't work, its possible the door switch is bad, but normally if the switch is bad the turn table won't work either. Most likely just a bad bulb part number you would seek is WB36X10003 this is not cheap for a bulb, you maybe able to get a replacement from a local lighting center near you. its a 40 watt, 130V bulbGood Luck I’m happy to help further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/gere_bf68e6055dd61249

I put my Microwave on for 30 min and it suddenly stopped working, suggestions?

If there is no power at all to the display or the panel then it is failure of the board. But if there is power without heating, if the turntable/fan/light works, then it can be related to failure of relay, Magnetron, Waveguide or capacitor.

Ge spacemakerxl microwave jvm1650 vent is not drawing air

It is possible, you have removed and checked the filters, still the intake is low even without the protective filters. The system will need to be taken apart to find the opstruction, or as you said a hole in the venting mechanism.
