Mildew

If you are keeping your humidifier set to 76, this is far too high. A humidifier setting of 40 to 50 percent is about right. Depending on your window insulation, you may have to reduce the setting in very cold weather if you start getting condensation on or around the windows.
Hope this helps.

Water runs continuosly on my Honeywell Envirocaire Elite system, no matter what setting I have the automatic humidity control set at, should I try replacing the Kip valve #3703?

Try to disconnect the main power to the unit and if the water valve is still open and water is running, you have a bad valve (the valve stuck open). Tap on the valve body it may help on sticking it, if not replace it.

Fan and water run continuously on he360

I'm not sure what wiring option did you use, but looks like you did not include pressure or sail switches... When the furnace blower/fan is off it should open the 24volt circuit and close the water valve (normally close) and turn off the fan. If you can post more wiring details maybe pictures or hand sketch I'm sure problem can be fixed in the few minutes.

How to manually activate a humidifier solenoid

If humidifier is running but water valve is not clicking open, check the wire connections. If connection is OK, than unplug the humidifier from 120V outlet, disconnect water valve wires and with multimeter check resistivity on the valve coil. If the coil is burned out/open/no resistance, the coil needs to be replaced.

He360 fan and water run continuously

Check yor wiring, make sure you have sail or pressure switch wired in series with humidistat to humidifiers 24V power. Pressure or sail switch will disconnect humidifier when furnace fan is off. Humidifier (110V) could be connected to any closest electrical outlet.

Honeywell humidifier short cycles

It's not uncommon for duct work in an older home to Bang as the furnace cycles due to age. The humidifier banging while turning on and of is mostlikely the solenoid valve; if the solenoid is bad it is actually to your benefit to replace the entire humidifier as the solenoids are very expensive, 50%+ of a new humidifier. Plus you get the 5 year parts warranty on the new unit instead of just one year on the solenoid. If you don't want to replace the entire unit you can replace the Humidistat, and that should fix the on/off cycling, however a new humidistat is included with a new unit, which again is more cost effective. They are easy enough to replace as a do it yourselfer, especially when replacing an existing unit. I hope this helps you.

I just installed a Honeywell HE 360 Humidifier I

Hello, in order to turn your humidifier on with the furnace the 120 volts coming from your humidifer you must hook it up to a step down transformer, then the transformer will provide 24 volts to you humidistat and solenoid valve. So you need a wire from the HUM on your control board to transformer primary side and a wire from neutral on the board to primary side of transformer. Then you need low voltage wire from secondary side of transformer to humidistat from humidistat to humidifier.
