Radios not turning on..

There is no repair guide. M never wanted these repaired. I suspect liquid damage. Get a small Torx screwdriver, likely a T-6 and unscrew all the screws, making certain you located the one near the antenna. Open? Look at the main board. If there is a whiteish coating, it is liquid corrosion. If you want to try repair, get some rubbing alcohol, a clean rag and q tips. Start with the rag, dip and rub, but not hard. Do not dislodge the small parts on the board! Then move onto the q tips for smaller areas. This can easily take 30 minutes to do a good job. So, you have an hour a radio into the repair, maybe more and no guarantee it will work when done. You can test the radio while apart by holding the battery to the contacts. Best of luck!

I have a set of motorola fv700 talkabout radios.

Take the radios back to a very basic setting with all special features turned off. If the radios have a Qt filter check to see it is turned off, and set your Code to zero (off) on both units. Also, check to see your battery is good in both units. Trade the battery with a known good radio to see if the problem moves to the other radio, is a simple test.

Replace a key actuator pad that is torn bad

The rubber key cover is one piece and not sold as a spare part. Take the radio apart, remove the pad and put a thin tape, such as a very high quality electrical tape and a small amount of RTV silicone under the tear. Reassemble, wiping off any extra RTV as you go.

I have the midland gxt 1000/1050 series X-Talk

The CTCSS (receive code) is not set to match the transmitting radio. They must both have the same code set in order for you to hear each other.

Motorola T5725 - Earpiece with mic wont work

A few things you might check:1) Be certain the radio is turned off when plugging in any audio device.2) Be certain the device is plugged in all the way. You should feel it seat, or click into place.3) Use a device designed for your model radio. Aftermarket accessories don't always have the functionality of the OEM device.4) Be certain you have special features such as VOX turned off on your radio.Hope one of these helps.Best regards.

Wiring diagram for accessory plug needed.

I am looking for the same wiring diagram. The headset Moto sells is a single earpiece with microphone, so how does that end up being a stereo connection Neto? Just curious how, or is there also a full headset with microphone? ( I dont' know, just asking)

Would this be a 4 ring TRS connector? Sleeve = ground, then left, right, and the tip as the microphone??

Why can't i hear people when they try to talk to

Possible that the earpiece is defective or there are errors in the circuit. The earpiece can be checked using multimeter, if open must be replaced.
If not there is fault in the circuit and must be probed with a signal tracer

I can transmit but not receive a reply

Check to see your interference eliminator code and Qt filter (if any) are set identical among your radios. For basic operation, set these to off (zero).
