Switch off the TV. Disconnect all the cables. Wait for some time. Reconnect all the cables and ensure they are not loose. Switch on the TV. It should work now with both picture and sound.

Possible fault is in the power supply or the main board power drive circuits. You must check for components that are heating up and losing off the connection due to drying of solder.
So if your are able to assist with some soldering please try to open set, check on the power supply circuit and the main board. Solder all suspected joints, connectors and IC pins.
Please make sure that the main capacitors are discharged off before touching or soldering the board . You can also allow time for discharge but make a test with a multimeter before you touch the circuit.
Also you can allow cooling of any heating sections to see if the set continues to go on. If so check the circuit in question.

Hello Sir, hi, your TV is in serious order, this could be traced from a failure of the power supply board to the mainboard. This diagnostics should be done by a qualified service personnel and should not be performed by a novice. The process is to locate the problem board, first replace the power supply board, then test, if the board respond then good, but if not, then the problem is on the system/main board, we then replace the main board which controls the sound, LCD, controls and the likes. at this point the TV most likely be powering on. But replacing the two boards are costly, so I suggest you take it to your dealer for proper advice on your TV. if its under warranty, much better. they will replace the entire tv.

Take to repair shop, must have a loose connection. I am an electronic Tech, 20 years experience. When you turn on a late model TV they do a self test and if they detect a problem then they shut down. I'm not really up on LG, I work for Panasonic and our LED's flash, and depending upon number of flashes it tells you where the problem is. I would suggest phoning LG for the address near you of their Authorized Service Agent. Get the guys who fix them everyday to do the job.

Mainboard damaged and need to be replaced, try EBAY for a general picture of prices but you will need your product code wich is located in the back of the TV next to serial number.

The problem very well could be with the DVD player because the disc is spinning very very fast and it might be causing the vibration thru out the chassis. Is this only with DVD ? You mention mainly DVD so I would like to know can you notice what type of scenes are causing it with TV ? Maeaning bright scenes or dark or something else?
Hope this is of some help. If you still can request that they come again as the problem isn't fixed. They might replace instead of coming again.

This is the Power Board for it. check those 6 electrolytic Capacitors on the right for bulging or splitting. Don't buy it blindly, it's a guess. It can't be done. The DVD remote will be single frequency for that device only and the LG remote for that LG Blu Ray (or series) only. Companies don't make cross-control between makers easy. The only exception is cable and satellite boxes to allow their remote to also control the television.
