NRS Hoveround MPV 5 - Used Power Wheelchair - Page 2 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

Do you have solid tires or inflatable tires. If they our inflatable tires and the hole is not too big they can hot patch them at a tire shop most of the time for free. If its a solid rubber tire and you have taken a big chuck out of it you will have to get a new. But I am thinking you have an inflatable tire. take it too the tire shop and see what they can do.

The manual for the Pronto starts with this warning:
"A qualified technician MUST perform the initial set up of this wheelchair. Also, a qualified technician MUST perform all procedures in the service manual."

It is possible that a warning is displayed until the setup by technician is successfully completed.

A PDF version of the manual can be downloaded here:
http://www.invacare.com/doc_files/1143206.pdf

I hope this helps.

Be sure the free-wheel \ brake release handles are set to drive\lock position prior to turning on. After that, if chair still does not move, you will need to count the flashes on the joystick to determine the error or issue with the chair.
A user manual can be purchased on ebay.

simple answer is yes, However certain procedures need to be followed. take the batteries out of the chair or if you know what you're doing completely disconnect them. charge them (you have two 12v batteries in series) separately, keeping in mind they are either GEL cell or GLASS mat deep cycle type batteries. caution should be taken to not over charge them and unless the charger in designed for that type of battery specifically, not too many cycles and not for more than a few hours each time. they will dry out. just out of curiosity why not use the factory one that came with them.
