yes you are right, do NOT open door when MW is operating. You need to get the "Interlocks looked at. Always ask for a "Quote" before proceeding with any work.

Check for a blown fuse.

UNPLUG AND DONT USE you have a bad or wet control board . if you gave cleaned the keypad in the last day or so , it might dry out in a few days ......if not it just went bad . most control boards are between 130.00 and 160.00 without looking up your oven ... so in most cases its not worth the repair

If it stops after 22 seconds, that means the controller has detected a problem, usually a problem with the inverter or a bad magnetron.

Due to the lethal voltages used and produced in inverters, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person work on these.

How long did you unplug it to reset it?

If you unplugged it for a good long time (minutes or hours) , then I would bet have a failed keypad.

was there any motor that should run as you turn it on, the fan inside and the rotating table motor. try to replace that micro switch at the door that bubbled out and burnt. try to test or replaced right away the industrial diode that is connected from the capacitor to the ground of the microwave.

Most probably the low voltage transformer of in the control panel is open . It has a thermal fuse which is between pin1 and pin 5 of the low voltage transformer. This fuse is however inside the transformer. If you get a DC resistance of about 350- 400 ohms between pin 5 and 6 of the transormer , connect an external 500ma fuse between pin 1 and pin5

It will do nothing until the clock is set.
