Dewalt DW744X 10" Portable Table Saw Questions & Answers
How do i square the table to the fence on a dewalt table saw?
Normally we adjust the rip fence so that it toes out 0.10 mm over the lenghth of the rip fence. Some models have to have the trunion shimmed or the table removed/adjusted to achieve this. The toe out ensures no binding but doesn't effect the measuring. Note. adjusting the trunion is a large job.
Raising and lowering the blade is really tight.
what I do is turn it over and using compressed air blow out as much of the dust as you can and then find a dry silicone type lubricant to thoroughly spray the threads and the slide portion of the saw. let dry and then move blade up and down a few times, you might have to repeat this but it works.
Einhell table saw 1500 watt is smoking
Maybe you have a 220V saw that you are running on 110V? It would spin, but would have little power and would quickly overheat due to too much current through the windings. The motor could well be toasted already.
The blade is not sqare to the front of the table,
you don't adjust anything but the fence if I understand the question correctly. You are using the fence for a straight cut and there is a gap, if so on the back of the saw UNPLUG SAW FIRST you will find a schematic about hhow to adjust the fence but all you have to do is loosen the 2 bolts where the arrows are I believe they are 10MM and lift the guard out of the way then gently run the fence next to the blade and "push" the fence square to the blade and tighten the bolts, usually it takes a couple times (I always recheck it). Now if the blade set at 0 degrees is not square you reset the angle from the front. Let me know if you need more help
I am trying to replace
I assume you already have the motor housing loose and ou of the way, lay the tool on its backside and angle the motor to the 45 deg. position. If you have a soft hammer or a dead blow lightly tap on the diaphragm housing while pulling out on the armature. Usually a couple taps will "jump" the armature out of the housing, the only thing holding it basically is the o ring against the bearing. Let me know if you need more help
How do I install a dado blade? Does the inside
Because of the larger hub assembly, the collar will need to be set aside. Be sure to use a dado insert in the table and get a carbide tipped tool if you can afford it. Make shallow cuts or the work piece will grab and be thrown off of the table. Always make a test cut on similar waste to make sure that it has been set correctly. Make or buy a push stick if you don't have one already. It also make copious amounts of waste! Have fun!
I can't find the reset button.

On page B of the parts listing (top of page), item 213 is the circuit breaker.
Looks like it is on the front, perhaps lower left. Just a small button type circuit breaker.
Dewalt dw744 motor runs slow and smokes, what
probably whole motor, if the bearings started to seize up it could have caused the armature/field to burn or if you overloaded the tool the same thing would happen. Does the tool have a burnt electrical smell, if so the motor is burnt and the cost of parts might outweigh getting repaired, You can go to Dewaltservicenet.com and find out the prices and also you might want to call a Dewalt Factory Service Center and ask them about the MAX repair rate on this tool and they will fix everything for that price, no matter what.
