There is a 3V batterty inside the machine located in the main board. If the battery is faulty then the memory will not hold. You can replace the battrey by removing the back cover. Have adde d a picture. The part number will be witten on it. Take the battery to any nearest electronic sparepart shop and by a new one . When you insert the new battery remember one thing the the possitive side of the battery should be on top.

hi, If you can the QRS wave on its display for all the leads and if the machine is not prinding then the problem is with the printer side. First of all you have to check is the paper is inserted propely or not. If its ok then the motor or its driving section can becom faulty. Also there is one more chance is there the battery. If any of the cells in the battery is faulty then the machine will not get the proper voltage and fails to print. Its an 18V 1.4Ah battery. • Hello, I have just received your question and wanted to give you an update. In looking at the service manual here is the battery you are needing - 92916717 Battery 3 Volt 0.255 Amp. I am tracking down where to get one and looking at the schematic on installation instructions so please allow me a few minutes for this. I assure I am working only on this at the moment.

most likely wrong paper or a bad optical sensor. There are actually 2 or 3 different versions of the mac 1200 all of which might need different paper. if you tell me the serial umber of your unit and the part number for the paper you are using I can tell you what is the correct paper.

the bottom off the print roller might be misaligned or worn. it could also be part of the print head is out. put electrical tape on the part that is not printing correctly and see if that improves the printing. If it does, it is the print roller. If it does not, it is the print head. Please let me know if you need any other assistance.

the date is changing because the internal battery which is about the size of a quarter has gone bad. if you are handy with a screwdriver and a soldering iron you can do it your self or you can sen it to a repair company and will cost about $150. It is printing out the extra sheet of paper because you are using the wrong paper. you can contact GE for the right paper for your serial number or you can contact our company. 8009894909, ask for jeff

I just replaced the mother board battery myself. You can buy the battery ( A panasonic 3v) from ebay for about 4$. To replace the mother board battery I did it without the soldering Iron, as I feared damaging the circuitry. THe new battery works fine. My solution requires you to have a mac 1200 that is not being picked up alot because I just put a new battery where the old one was. The old battery is soldered in place, I broke that with plyers.

The little tab at the right side needs to be pried up with a screw driver so that is can slide freely.

I would check the noximeter readings on the spectroscope and see if it is within tolerance to the transistor ranges on the datameter.
