Pentair Minimax NT Heater - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Pentair MiniMax NT, won't stay lit.
Check the hose going from the fan housing to the control board. I found that it was very loose at the fan connection; wrapped a thin strip of masking tape around the barb, reconnected the hose and it works fine now.

if you have incoming power, you may have a bad transformer. those systems run on 24-28v. you can check from yellow wire to yellow wire coming off the transformer to see if you have anything coming out. must check wires coming out of the transformer to each other, it won't register if you check each one individually to ground. hope this helps...
Pentair Minimax NT 400 heater. fan keeps coming
Sounds like the controller is the problem. This is the circuit board that has the display and controls on it. You can swing that panel open and try tapping on the white plastic cover the controller is under that. This might get the fan relay to release but you will have to replace the controller it will stick again
Pool and spa heater
Seems to me that if he does not fix the heater your not going to pay for it.
Pentair Pool Heating Rapidly Increases Temp on Panel then shuts off.
Check the Thermal Reg in the header and also make sure you have adequate water flow thru the heater, make sure your filters are clean and there are no external by-pass valves open.
If you remove the Thermal Reg in the header and the heaters seems to run fine the replace with a new one.
Error Code E04
check that the silicone tube that that goes from air pressure switch to the fan does not have any holes in it. Caused by rats.

Try changing the "stack flu sensor". It could be the sensor is bad or the sensor could be detecting a bigger problem. The sensor can not be jumped out.
Pentair MiniMax Plus 250 Off and On
To answer your question....... ensure all flow is good, cleaning the filter, and correct speed if you have a variable speed pump (typically 2500rpm)
If the flow is good and this is happening then it could be the thermal regulator which is on the header of the heater where the water goes in and out. They can get a build up of scale and or corrosion which causes an internal flow issue and can overheat the heater.
The heater also has high limit sensors which will shut the heater off when it gets too hot.
You will want to make sure to get this fixed to avoid melting of the plumbing or internal damage of the heater.
The heater won't ignite.
On a Pentair, this means Lockout.
its a safety precaution that disables the heater. To unlock, simply power cycle heater off and then back on.
If this continues, diagnostics required to identify reason for non ignition.
Does Service light come on?
if so, you can either remove the front panel and look up behind the circuitboard, or actually the backside of the control panel circuit board. or remove the top of the heater, there are four wingnut each corner on the bottom side of that top cover. your goal is to clearly see the backside of that touchpad. There will be a red light and you want to see the letters next to it. this will be the indicator of the problematic situation.

Getting fan fail message. Fan will not function. Gets VERY hot to the touch. Bad fan motor?
Hello,
Are you handy with a multi meter?
If so, place your meter leads at point where fan blower makes its connection. Test for whatever the supply voltage was set for at installation of your incoming electrical supply.
This heater is a "Dual" capable voltage heater.
If you have the voltage of 120 if set up that way or the 240 at the blower motor, if heater was set up for 240 incoming... and the motor does not come on, you need a new motor. It has died. Even though you can spin the shaft, the motor has failed.
if you don't have a owners service manual, I will attach a link for you to follow.

Good Luck
Digital display shows LO what should i do
LO is a limit string open. This is what I refer to as a saftey circut. It will peobally be a dirty filter or a plugged up basket. The heater need enough water flow to run or it will overheat and cause damage to the heater. Without enough flow the saftey circut shuts the heater down before this can occur. If it is more than this it is probally time to get a repairman involved. Good luck and remember this is a box full of fire that runs on high voltage.

Since you said you replaced the fan, and flow valve. Did you re-install the pressure switch correctly? it will look something like attached image. This is more than likely the cause if you did not replace with the fan or reinstall correctly... or it might have been the cause in the first place...
