Hello Joseph, welcome to Fixya.
I can provide you with a tech. guide, but you`ll need to post an email address for me to send it to.
With the guide you can practically tear that dishwasher completely apart if you`re even a little mechanically inclined, it`s pretty good.
I`m not sure if I understand the problem you`re having, based on your description though.
Let me know if you either want me to send that guide or need further assistance.
I`ll watch for your reply,
macmarkus :)

My dishwasher Bosch SHEAR55UC show E24 on screen ,
Hi.
E24 is draining error:
Turn off the appliance. Check drain well and filter for blockage. Clean drain. Check drain hose at the back to make sure it is not kinked. Dry water from inside the appliance manually (with power not connected). If that does not fix the problem, then pressure switch in the drain system is usually responsible. The part to be tested are pump, pressure switch and drain lines.
If you need parts or diagrams see this tip explaining how to find parts and diagrams for most appliances: Where do I find parts and diagrams for my appliance?Regards.

Water stains on some glasses
If the glasses are old or the softener has been allowed to run out of salt a few times the glasses have become etched. When hard water has soap added, the hot water and soap precipitates some of the hardness (limestone - what cement is made from) into particles and the dishwasher shoots this around in the dishwasher and "sandblasts" everything. Once the glass is etched you have to replace it. In future, a. never run out of salt. b. wash good glassware, crystal and fine china by hand.

Dishwasher continues to run long
Hello, welcome to FixYa.
Based on your description I'd say the issue actually is with the control...unfortunately. Unless you are confident it is only the drain pump running, it is likely what I've described below. This is commonly associated with a heating fault on Bosch built dishwashers ( various models including Bosch, Thermador, Siemens, Gaggenau, and Neff ).
**B/S/H/ also issued a recall on certain models between 1999 - 2006 depending on the model & serial number, you can check with yours but...you'll need the serial number too. Here`s the link if you want to see for yourself **
http://microsites.boschappliances.com/safetyrecall/dishwasher/
If you feel capable of checking this on your own, there`s a way to visually inspect the control yourself...it really isn't very complicated.
It will require you to remove the control from the unit and then remove the control from it`s plastic housing and look for a burnt solder contact on the printed circuit board.
The culprit will 99% of the times be one of the pins from the heater relay,
**Flip this over and inspect the solder joints, it will be obvious when you see it.**
hence the unit sit`s and takes longer & longer to finish because it can`t heat to advance or unless the 2 buttons for "cancel" are pressed...this can also manifest as a long cycle time as I mentioned and eventually display's "1" on units with a display and usually very poor cleaning, no heating ( don't be fooled by the homes inlet hot water temperature ) as a result.
You can also run the unit through a regular or econo cycle ...any cycle with the exception of rinse & hold, and with the door panel removed place an ammeter on the gray/black wire it should draw 11 amps during the wash cycle...after it fills and the flow switch indicates it has adequate water to engage the heater.
i.e. ( this may differ from your specific model, but the same rules apply )
**My Opinion - if you or someone you know is proficient at soldering, a lot of times it can be remedied by simply repairing the solder...but it has to be done well...or it will not last. Bosch recommend`s replacing the control and I don`t pretend to speak on their behalf nor do I profess to know better. This is just my experience (it work`s) and my opinion (why buy new if one can repair ?)
**Please disconnect the power or turn off the breaker before attempting any service to the dishwasher.**
If you do not feel comfortable attempting this service, call a local pro, preferably one familiar with Bosch/Thermador/Gaggenau/Siemens, to service your machine.
Thank`s for visiting "FixYa" for your repair inquiries. Please take a moment and rate this solution to it's helpfulness. Good luck.
Regards,
Macmarkus :)

White residue on dishes when
Hi
Make sure that the water is being heated up by your dishwasher. Also need to make sure that the wash motor is spraying water around at full force.
Best way to check this is to start a normal cycle about 10 minutes into the cycle open the dishwasher door during the cycle. 1st observe if the water was being sprayed around as you opened the door. 2nd feel the water and see if it has heated up.
Reset or cancel the cycle and wait for the water to empty. make sure it is draining properly and also check to see if filter is clean.
I'm inclined to think your machine is not heating the water.

No washing action. Fill valve acivates,. Drain
Hello
& Welcome to FixYa
The
hum indicates a problem with the motor if it is coming from the bottom, if it
is coming from the water inlet valve then that needs replacement. Please get
back to me if you have any other questions.

Soap dispenser cover won't close
It sounds like it may be stuck between cycle steps.(this sometimes happens if the washer is open during a cycle)Try and run it through one full wash cycle as it is.Then check to see if the soap door will close. If not,the lack may be broken
