How do I clear code

I had to call a certified bosch repair center. They sent someone out who entered some sort of code to put the washer into diagnostic mode. Once it was there, the code cleared and my washer worked again.
I asked for the code, and the repairman wouldn't give it to me.

I would like to download

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Sorry, this forum is not able to supply any type of manual, installation instructions, electrical or schematic diagrams direct; it's just made up of ordinary guys and gals, probably at home and from all over the world, with experience of addressing problems and giving guidance for free on the web ;-0)
You will need to type into your search engine/web browser '(make model number) washer manual' and you should be presented with a number of sources from which you can either download for free or have to pay a nominal amount.
You could also try the manufacturer's web site direct ;-0)
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Smelly washing machine!

The black cover you have removed should be the only "filter"/trap in the drainage system inside the machine. The eggy smell you described has to be caused by one of 4 things; 1. Smell coming back through the drain, indicating that there is no water trap - easiest way to check this would be to disconnect the drain hose from the wall, smell the drain and see if it is the same smell or not. if so, install a water trap, or arrange the drain hose in a loop to form one. 2. Decomposing organic matter in the wet system. There could have been something in a pocket or that accidentally got in with the laundry that has somehow got stuck somewhere - possibly in a filter but also limescale can trap dirt in the system and various items can get stuck in all sorts of places. This can be solved nearly always by running through the cleaning procedure described on this link; http://ezinearticles.com/?Cleaning-Your-Washing-Machine&id=109993 if it doesnt work the first time - try it again - sometimes it can take a couple of tries but nearly always works great. there are also stronger chemicals than vinegar that you can use to clean the machine with, (but they should only be used in extreme circumstances as other components can be degraded) white vinegar is usually all you need. To remove the vinegar smell afterwards if necessary - put a teaspoon or two of baking soda through the machine on an empty hot wash. 3. Decomposing organic matter in the dryer outlet duct (or possibly in the lint filter area, but unlikely, also possibly under the machine up inside where the workings are) - rodents and insects and moss and funghi etc all love the warm moist air that comes out of the dryer and they always can find a way into the duct - something dies or poops in the duct and the smell can be unbearable - easy way to check this is to look in the duct if you can, and see if the smell gets worse if you have the dryer on. Clean the duct out with mild dilute bleach if this is the problem. 4. Some liquid detergents cause a build up slowly in the system that smell quite sewage-like (possibly some powders too, but not so common) - try cleaning out the machine and switching to a different detergent to check if that's the case. Unfortunately the Bosch website manuals page is down today - they will have a manual for your model almost certainly - it is an excellent site; http://www.boschappliances.com/site_tools/documents.cfm try again in a day or two - and you should get a user guide downloaded. An overheating motor is unlikely to be the cause of this smell, "eggy" is not associated with motor or electronic overheating problems. Hope this helps, if you cant cure the smell with these tips, then unfortunately the machine has to be taken apart and the offending item cleaned out - if you fancy trying this yourself then please ask again and we could talk you through it, Good luck :)

Oo.gmy bosch 20420 was shows

Hi, error 17 covers the following problems - supply hose kinked/jammed, clean filter, water pressure too low. It means one of the water valves is not letting water in... The problem is one of the solenoids even though it has power it wont open to allow water to come through, setting off a not enough water signal.

Hi. My Whirlpool AWO3771 washing

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
( 'FP' = faulty pump?- try these pre-typed notes!)

I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Here are my complete guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
-------------------------------------

If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and most are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play!

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!

Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!

How do I clear the E 27 code? Above said to hold

The message means that the door locking mechanism has malfunctioned and/or is overheating. It is recommended that remove power from the appliance (unplug it) for 30 minutes and try again. If this doesn't remedy the error code, you'll need to replace the door lock.
