Lock Symbol staying on
Hello, welcome to FixYa.
The Key symbol means the lock has been activated some how.
On most bosch of your class this is how you work it on & off.
Here`s how to deactivate it...
1) Press the "menu" button until you see "CHILD LOCK :ON" appear in the display. ( if nothing is pressed within 10 sec.following this the menu will close and it will default to program in the display )
2) Once you see what I just mentioned in the display press the "select" button until "CHILD LOCK :OFF" appears in the display.
3) Finally by pressing the "start/pause" button the key symbol should disappear confirming you have successfully exited the child lock program.
Let me know if this was helpful to you or not, if so please take a second and rate it accordingly.
Thank you for visiting "fixya" for your washer solution inquiry.
good luck going forward.

Leaks during wash cycle, rubber
Yes you can do it yourself. This is how:
Taking the old gasket off is pretty easy. Putting the new one on is the tricky part.
When you take the old one off notice that it is attached in two
locations. The inside of the washer opening and the washer drum. Take
the washer opening wire off first. I used a needle nose pilers. You
can see a spring near the door hinge on the outside of the washer. Once
that is off you can put the gasket toward you. There is another spring
that holds the gasket to the washer. That will just come out with the
old gasket. Keep both the wire and spring fasteners. You will need them
to put the new one on. The gasket will probably slimmy so have a place
to put it down once its out of the washer.
Here is the part that you need to have alot of patients. Don't set a time limit to do this job.
I should tell you I'm not a professional repair man but here is how I got the gasket back in.
Clean out the gunk and slime from the inside of the washer. The drum
will swing freely so you can get a rag or papertowel in between the drum
and the washer. Work in reverse from how you got the gasket out.
First put the new gasket in with the drain holes at he bottom of the
door. The same principles apply as changing a bike tire. Keep
streching the gasket around the drum until that part is seated. Don't
worry about the door gasket yet. Take the spring fastener and tie a
peace of cotton string to one end of it. Then wrap the string around
the door hing to hold one end of the spring in place. You will have to
work without seeing what you are doing for the next part. Pull the
spring around the gasket as close to the drum as you can get. The
spring will have alot of tension and will collapse the gasket a little.
Then the spring up to the groove in the drum with the gasket seated in
the groove start seating the spring in the groove. I used chop sticks
and masking tape just like a bike tire wrench. I wedged the chop stick
under the spring to hold that part in place then taped the chop stick to
the door opening with the masking tape. Keeped working around the
gasket until the spring was completely seated. Be carefull not to move
the bottom of the gasket too much. You want to keep the drain holes at
the bottom of the drum. Once the spring is seated around the gasket on
the inside cut the string off the spring.
That is the hard part. After that attaching the outer part of the
gasket to the door opening is pretty easy and the wire fastener when on
with just using the needle nose piler to help pull it around the gasket.
Machine fills with water if power left on, ie at
Hello,
Welcome to FixYa.
Based on your description you likely have a faulty inlet/water valve.
Here`s an easy way to confirm or dismiss whether it is the vavle or not.
1) First drain the standing water which presently exists, if any.
2) Unplug the washer from the wall/power outlet and allow a period of time to pass, 12 hrs or so. one valve at a time, If the unit has standing water in it afterwards you need a valve.
If it doesn`t have water in it afterwards then the valve is being energized when it is plugged in even when it should not...that indicates a faulty control unfortunately, but not very likely,
The valve should be available at most brick and mortar appliance part locations or if you prefer on-line shopping try "searspartsdirect.com" "repairclinic.com" or "appliancepartspros.com" to name a few.
To swap out the valve simply follow these steps...
**Unplug the unit from the wall before attempting any repairs suggested here...safety first**
1) turn off the water and unfasten the hot & cold fill hoses going to the washer.
2) remove the top panel and then slide the top panel back slightly and pull up. The panel should lift away.
3) in the left rear corner ( when observing from the front of the washer )you should now see the valves.
4) remove the wires, carefully the harness has little release tabs which must be bent back slightly to pull the wire & harness off.
5) remove the hose to the dispenser assembly, a pair of pliers or visegrips works well here.
6) pull the valve out, voila !
Reverse order to put the new one in and good job. You potentially saved yourself $200 or more for parts and labour.
Hope this answers your question but more importantly solves your problem.

Wont spin
Ok....no spin can be a few things here we will make a list for you to check
1.....Make sure all of the water is being pumped out. If not he machine will not spin.
2.....Remove thre filter at the base of the mascine and clean it out. Look in the aperture with a torch to ensure there is nothing in there.
3.....Check thet the drum spins around freely by flicking it by hand. if it doesn't smoothly revolve then there is a blockage in the drum. If it makes a low growl then the bearings a re faulty. Both of these reasons need technical assistance.
4.....The motor brushes being worn can cause the spin to stop. it may still wash but the spin may be effected as the brushes get to their wear limit. You will need technical help to replace brushes.
good luck Tony

Unplug it from the power source.
It should release it if not you have a sticky selenoid that locks your system.
If freed. great.. but you need to have that selnoid replaced, because it will happened again.
If the power interruption doesn't work, you need to dismantle your system.
If still under warrenty... Cal a service guy
No Cold Water Wash; Only Hot
When doing a hot wash the machine is designed to take both hot and cold water. This is because it can heat the water to your selected temperature but if the water coming in is too hot it needs to cool it down to avoid heat damage to your laundry.
Hope this helps & thanks for using Fixya.
Started making loud "clicking" noise
Blocked pump, open flap bottom right, drain off excess water manually and remove pump filter. Make sure you get right down and have a look in at the impellor and give it a turn to make sure its free to rotate. You'll probably find a coin, button etc that is catching the pump impellor. When you start a cycle the pump engages for a few seconds and then the w/m takes in water, so if something is stopping the impellor rotating the w/m will not start.
Best of luck
Gets stuck midway in the cycle and gives a code 3
Hello rmurray1, welcome to Fixya.
First off, I don't think the model number in the post is correct as the WFL2060 only gives flashing L.E.D. for error codes, so I suspect it is likely a WFR2460 or other that does have an L.E.D. display for digital error codes.
If you could confirm your model number it could save a lot of potentially reduntant questions and answer's.
Based on what you've described "stuck midway in the cycle and gives a code 3" you've got an issue with the door lock, at least as detected by the control.
This means there may or may not be a problem. The first step is to unplug the unit from either your dryer or the wall, whatever the case may be in your set up.
Leave it unplugged for several minutes and plug it in again. Try the machine though a cycle with no items/clothing in it and see how it goes.
Let me know what you find and we can move forward from there.
Thanks for visiting "fixya" and good luck.
If this indeed solved your problem please take a second to rate the info and leave a testimony accordingly. If more assistance is required, let me know.

Has a new motor, add detergent, close door. Indicator says laundr
Hello, welcome to Fixya.
Based on your description I'd suspect something is in the pump or you're either...
a) using too much detergent, even too much "HE" will cause problems with the rinse & spin cycles.
b) the wrong type of detergent
These machines must have "HE" type detergent's added to them only. Non -"HE" will not allow them to spin to there potential, cause damage and sometimes not spin at all.
Here's how to check the pump...
If your washer is indeed a WFL2060, this is how to reach the filter and clean it.
( If it is not a WFL2060 as the post indicates, please let me know and I can provide assistance on another model as it pertains to you ).
**Unplug the washer from the dryer or wall, or turn off the 30amp breaker at the home service panel...safety first**
1) Open the small square plastic door at the right bottom of the washer.
2) Via the small hose drain any access water from the pump...this is where a wet/dry shop-vac comes in handy, or a shallow pan with a few towels works as well.3) Then turn the pump insert/button trap counter clock-wise and pull out. Clean the trap out thoroughly running it under hot water and mild soap or your washer detergent and inspect inside the pump for any other foreign objects/obstructions.4) Re-install the lint trap insuring it is good and snug/tight. Before closing up the small access door, run a short rinse spin cycle to check for leaks.

My Bosch WFL 2060 has a new motor and a new
Hi welcome to Fixya. Replacing the motor is pretty straight forward however, the issue with simply replacing those controls is that they do not come configured. This must be done before installing and operating the control. It cannot be done once installed and continuous attempts to use it could cause damage to the control. I can send you a guide on "how to" but I'm presently out and do not access since I'm using my iphone. I'm currently in the process of setting up a windows live account that will allow people to access these things much easier, but I'm not there yet. Stay tuned ha ha ! Let me know if you'd like further assistance. macmarkus :)

The door will not open on my Bosch washing
Hi, welcome to fixya.
If your washer is indeed a WFL2060, this is how to first get any water out which will prevent the door from opening, then manually allowing the door to open.
**Unplug the washer from the dryer or wall, or turn off the 30amp breaker at the home service panel...safety first**
1) Open the small square plastic door at the right bottom of the washer. You will see a small red loop with a string. That is for manually opening the door if you pull it...but you'll want to drain the water out first, so...
2) Via the small hose drain any access water from the pump...this is where a wet/dry shop-vac comes in handy, or a shallow pan with a few towels works as well.
3) Then turn the pump insert/button trap counter clock-wise and pull out. Clean the trap out thoroughly running it under hot water and mild soap or your washer detergent and inspect inside the pump for any other foreign objects/obstructions.

What does F02 fault mean?
Hello elaineginolf, welcome to Fixya.
Error code "02" typically indicates a lock problem. Since not all models are the same can you clarify the model of Bosch you have ? The post category says WFL2060 but that can't be since that model has no display and faults are indicated by way of led lights flashing in a set pattern. Could it be a WFR2460 with the digital LED display ?
Let me know and I'll see if I can assist you from there.

My Bosch Axxis washing machine is about 6 years
In my experience a lot of these electronically controlled appliances the electronic control do go out. They are supposed to last forever because electronic do not have moving parts. The way I look at the main reason most appliance today has electronic controls should be so that the controls will last longer. It seem to me they just do it for marketting purpose. After all if appliances lasted forever they would go out of business.
