Have a two handle Sterling
The part # you supplied is for a shower door and has no bearing to your question. There is no relationship. However, I can say there is no adjustment for any two handle shower stem or even single handle stem. Very rarely will just replacing an "O" ring stop a drip unless it it from through the stem itself and comes out under the handle. When in doubt replace the whole stem...shortcuts will only exasperate the problem. There are no shortcuts in plumbing.

Replace hollow gasket vista-pivot ii shower door
Usually the bottom of most framed doors has a chanel which contain door sweep or hollow gasket, all you have to do is pull it and slide the new one in the same place.
Please note that some times the end of the chanel is crimped to prevent the gasket to move in and out of the track.
I hope this will help.

Sterling shower stem replacement, anyone know how?
Sterling like many others made many different types of faucets and stems. To service any of them you need to remove the handle. Then depending on the type of stem you can make your repairs. Most common Sterling stems were brass. Most common cause of slipping is stripped broach on stem and or handle. The broach is the star shaped part of the stem that the handle slides on. If it is stripped replacing the stem and or handle should do the trick. As for the tighteness of the stem, this could be the packing nut on top being to tight or stem may be damaged. Hope this helps. Please share a vote if it does.

Water too cold when faucett is in hot position
If your water heater is real old, it will slough off the lining and it will clog the hot supply. Try some spray lubricant to see if it will loosen the screw, otherwise you will have to cut off the handle to access the valve. You can replace the stem and the handle. Use a flashlight after you have turned the water off and removed the stem to see if you can find the clog. I use a dental pic to remove the debris when I come across this problem in the field. You can try flushing the system as well but that takes 2 people, one turning the water on and off and the other making sure you don't flood the bathroom. Good luck!

I installed a new bathtub
Please clarify - you said it's a pivoting door but also said it doesn't slide smoothly - can't really do both at the same time. If it's a typical bypass sliding door then you should be able to make an adjustment to the hanging brackets on the offending door to raise it up off the track. If all else fails the header track can be raised thereby making the doors hang higher and off the track attached to the tub surround.

The sterling knob is lost from our bath tub
You can call Sterling Customer Care Center at 1-800-STERLING (1-800-783-7546) in the U.S. or 001-877-680-1310 in Mexico. Also some stores stock replacement part kits in the hardware/shower door aisle. Ask a store associate for assistance and depending upon the warranty period of your door, the part may be replaced free of charge.
