Hi Gary,Yet another chinese made radio.Maybe they will make something good, but don't hold your breath.I'm not against the people, but the companies that make stuff, including Motorola radio under license.All these Chinese radios are mass produced to a fixed price and dubious standards.I bought an FDP & Oricom CB radios, only to open the packaging and find they were made in China, from there on things began failing very quickly.Getting back to your query... I take it you don't have the user manual, is that correct? If so, your best bet is to find a friend who can communicate in Manderin, which is the most used languge in China, and have them find the Baofang website and follow the links to service/help section, and to see if a copy of the user manual in english is available for download.If this fails, then unless you know someone with a similar model radio with manual, and if they can make a copy for you.If that doesn't work, ooops! you've used up all your avenues for help.Sorry if I haven't helped you.Best wishes,Peter
