My hilti te 6-s stopped working
I would first check the cord to the switch and then the 2 wires coming from the motor to the switch to see if they have continuity. UNPLUG tool first. to be on the safe side remove the bottom cover 2 T15 Torx screws and look at the brushes also and while apart if you have compressed air blow thru all the openings. The switch is hard to check so I would check everything around it first and if OK I would say a bad switch.
My te-72 will hammer but not drill. Any suggestions?
The TE-72 rotary hammer drill is designed to perform both drilling and hammering functions, so if it's not drilling, there could be a few potential causes:
- Dull or damaged bit: Check the bit to make sure that it is sharp and not damaged. A dull or damaged bit may not be able to penetrate the material you're trying to drill through. If the bit is dull or damaged, replace it with a new one.
- Incorrect bit size: Make sure that you are using the correct bit size for the material you are drilling through. Using a bit that is too small or too large can cause the drill to spin without making any progress.
- Worn chuck or collet: If the chuck or collet that holds the bit in place is worn or damaged, it may not be able to grip the bit properly, which could cause the drill to spin without making any progress. Inspect the chuck or collet and replace it if necessary.
- Low power or voltage: If the drill is not receiving sufficient power or voltage, it may not be able to drill through the material. Check the power cord and outlet to ensure that they are functioning properly.
- Malfunctioning clutch: The clutch in the TE-72 rotary hammer drill is designed to disengage the drill from the material in case of a jam or overload. If the clutch is malfunctioning, it could cause the drill to stop drilling. Have a professional technician inspect and repair any faulty components.
If none of these solutions work, it's recommended to take your TE-72 rotary hammer drill to a professional repair service for further diagnosis and repair.
How do you install brushes on a 5370 hammer drill
If they are replaceable, you will be opening up the drill by removing the screws holding it together, and then you might see the brushes that need replacement.
Know that although you can open most hammer drills, and you can replace the brushes in some, some you cannot reassemble, but you can surely try.
I fix these myself, and my success rate is about 50 %.
God bless your efforts.
