Most of the time this is because of a worn belt or tensioner out of adjustment.

My toro snowblower stalls out

The loud screech is caused by the starter bearings or solinoid needing lubricant.
Your other problem is the carb...follow these directions and it should solve your snowblower problems
Please rate me
Check your fuel filter in the fuel tank, if you have one.
It may need replacement or cleaning.
Also check your fuel tank for debris/trash and clean it out if necessary.
If the mower/weedeater is over a year old, then I recommend that you buy
and install a new carburetor repair kit, because the diaphragm will get hard
and that will cause it to be hard to crank.
Sounds like you will need to clean the carburetor or replace your carburetor
internal rubber parts like the diaphgram and O rings.
Be sure to use compressed air to blow out all the fuel and air passages.
Be careful when blowing out the passages, because there are sometimes small
rubber type seats in the bottom of some of the passages.
Sometimes you can get by with priming the carburetor or using starting fluid
and letting it run a few times like that and it will flush the gunk out of
the jets, but most of the time you will need to rebuild the carburetor.
Keep in mind that the float for the carburetor must be level when you go to
reassemble the carburetor or follow the instructions you get with the
carburetor kit.
When you clean your carburetor and remove the jet screws, you will first need
to lightly seat the jet screws.
But before you lightly seat the jet screws count the number of turns it takes
to seat the jet screws from their original position.
Be sure to mark the turns down on a piece of paper.
That way when you put the jets back in, you know to lightly seat them first
and then turn them back out to their orginal position before you started.

Where is oil drain plug on toro 22'' mower- tecumseh engine

IF you do not see the drain plug o the side of your engine, than most likely it is located on the bottom of the engine you will most likely have to remove the guard that covers the belt if you have self propelled lawn mower and the plug should be under the guard. Good Luck

Will not start, no spark seen, do I need a puller

First I would replace the spark plug with a new one. If that does not work, there is a little electronic ignition part that may need to be replaced.
Please let me know what you find.

I have a toro snowblower that quit running last

Hi
I have seen them go through the engine into the muffler. Did you check the valves if it damaged them. I would check for spark first if that is good put a tea spoon full of gas in the spark plug hole and try to start. If it fires you need to clean the carb. If not i would do a compression test that will tell you if the screw damaged anything.

I HAVE TORO SNOW BLW. MO.# 38195 CCR 1000C 3 H.P.

Some have a circuit breaker that cuts out when too much current used when trying to start too much. Usually when it cools, will kick back in. Have you tried disconnecting battery temporarily, if just letting it sit doesn't do it? PS. Sometimes a little shot of WD-40 into carburetor will help start it if it's been sitting quite a while.

I have a 3 yr. old toro, It wont stay running.

You probably have a crack or hole in the primer bulb. Replace it and see if that solves your problem.
