The door lock mechanism is stuck. You will need to get access to the back of the machine in order to undo the screws holding the top of the machine on. Make sure the machine is unplugged from the pains supply, there are wires attached to the switch and they may be live. Remove the top of the machine and reach down inside to where lock is (near door handle on front), push on the back of the lock/switch and it should release. If the problem re-occurs then the lock/switch will need to be replaced.

You should just be able to press the button. Has the machine stopped working with the START light flashing and the time saver light on? If so, this is an error code indicating a motor fault. Please describe any other lights that are on and if they are flashing or solid

You say it stops half way through cycle (if I have read it right), especially when fast spin starts. Does it stop anywhere else (in wash cycle or rinse cycle)?I would check the main filter in the sump (pipe from drum to drain pump) and ensure pump itself is not blocked which could cause the pump out time to be exceeded and thus stop the program. A faulty pressure switch could also be responsible. I would also check the tacho on the motor and connections to main board at bottom of machine near to motor. Disconnect machine by pulling out plug and wait 10 minutes for capacitors to discharge before doing anything, to protect yourself against residual voltages. From a retired engineer who owns one of these machines.
check the water taps are turned on and there are no kinks in the hoses if the water is on and the hoses arent kinked then the fault lies with the water inlet valve (the valve unit where the hoses screw onto on the machine) to access the valves remove the top cover of the machine and directly behind where the hose goes on you will see the electrical valves
List of the
Error Codes I found on another site. I'm getting f04 light 2 (the "wash" light). Looks like you've got the opposite problem with your pressure switch stuck on full (f05).
I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter- so many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters.
Following are my complete and hopefully 'coverall' pre-typed guidance notes for checking both the drain motorfilter and the drain motor ;-0)
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play. It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.

It is possible that the heater is taking longer than it should to heat the water to the correct temperature. This could be that the element is coated in calcium. I suggest you run the contents of a couple of sachets of proprietary limescale removing powder/fluid through it. The most efficient way is to put the contents in an empty washer and pour a kettle of hot water into the drum then leave overnight. In the morning run just a spin; the water mix will then go through the drain filter and drain motor impeller blades, doing absolutely NO harm whatsoever, in fact some good!
You could also consider repeating the action ;-0)
