Hi Joey Miller there are a few things you can do to fix this problem. One is clean all ports on your computer and the phone. There could be dust in any of the ports. Next go to settings on your phone. This is not commonly know or done. In the settings you need to scroll down to the usb connection. It is going to ask you how you want to connect. it should be three choices ask on connection will allow you to charge your phone on the pc. But you will not be able to use all the phone functions. i have the same problem on my phone and i was unable to fix it but i could get the clear, up, and left buttons to work by sliding the screen down a tiny bit until the buttons on the screen light up (they are not lit up when the phone is slid out). you won't be able to push the top row of keys, but by sliding the phone slightly down you should be able to use the clear, up, and left keys

Since it is not a touchscreen. You will need that button. I suggest either getting it repaired or buy a new one off ebay for $40

The best thing to do in this case is to take the phone into your provider, and see what they say. They can check it out, and possibly reflash the phone, and get you going, or let you know if there's a problem that will require servicing.
