you can try running it in compatibility mode, when installed right click the desktop icon, then go to bottom of list to properties, then on the thumb nails, look for compatibility look in the list for what ever program it was made for ie windows xp, windows 95, then try that there are more settings there which may help...hope this helps

A lot of your older games, especially those designed for Win 95, 98, 2000 will not work on current generations of Windows. What you could try to do is run emulation software to emulate one of these environments. The only drawback to this is that not only will you need the emulator (which is usually fairly cheap), you would also need a legitimate older copy of windows to install.

Your only other real option would be to browse ebay and maybe find an older comp that someones just looking to get rid of. Depending on your level of expertise setting up the rarely used emu software this may actually be a quicker and less stressful route.

Other than that, I can't really think of any other options you would have other than the Windows XP mode if your version of Win 7 is fortunate enough to be Professional, Ultimate, or Enterprise. If you are lucky enough to have one of those than this link should put you in a good direction.

You can find the file that it is stored in. Right click on the executable and change the compatibility to start in windows 98. This should fix your problem

you will need to install the games one by one by exploring the disk and finding it manualy or you can explore the disk on auto run and do it one by one

check software comaptibility list. chances are if its an older game it wont run on XP, Vista or Windows 7. if your using another operating system i cant say much however i would expect the same issues with their newer operating systems.

Try to find your settings on the game, and see if you can change that, or it might be a bug and you should report it immediately to the manufacturer

Right click the installer file. Go to compatibility tab and select Run this program in comparability mode for and select win95 from drop-down list. Reinstall by clicking it.

Once you insert the CD, go to Start -> My Computer, and Double Click on the Drive that has the Hoyle Picture. This will either start the Installer/Auto-run window, or it will open a series of files. Double click on Setup.exe if it does not autorun.

To be honest, there are only two options.

1. Go to the sierra online website and see if you can get a 64 bit version of the game

2. Get an entirely new OS of windows (a 32 bit version) and then try installing

the error message "A required security module can not be activated" is generated by a piece of software called securecom that is essentially to stop people pirating games.If you have any emulation software such as daemon tools or alcohol 120% (these create a temporary cd drive so that a bit of software can work with out the original cd) running remove or disable them.
If its a legit copy of the game etc.. and you have the cd then it may be an issue with the registry area of your pc
Click the start button and then click RUN
type in regedit
look for the folder HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/System/MountedDevices/

Right click the folder folder, Click Permissions, Click Advanced,
Look under the "TYPE" header for any labels that say "Deny", if there
are any highlight and click Edit, Check Full Control and "OK".

What happens is Hp puts in the software of a whole bunch of games where after time you have to go to their site and purchase their games.
Well there are other FREE sites to goto to find Solitaire, free cell, Spyder solitaire and such.
I also think that they meybe hidden files in Windows, but to find them you have to remove Hp games and then do a search
