Guage needle fell off joe blow pro pump
Had the same thing happen. It turns out you can pry off the plastic ring around the dial, then remove the clear plastic window. I did that and just stuck the needle back on at 0.
Does not seem to be pumping air
Most likely the O-ring has worn out, but first take it apart by unscrewing the top of the cylinder where the sliding rod goes thru. Then look at the working end of the rod (opposite end from the pump handle), and put some light grease on the O-ring (it is a black rubber ring), reassemble and test it. If it still doesn't push air out, take the O-ring to a hardware store for a replacement. This usually solves the problem.
I have fitted the pump
For starters, I assume that you pushed the lever away from the valve -- if not, that is your problem. Other potential problems are: a worn gasget in the head or a valve stem that is not fitting properly. I had the bad valve stem and when I put in a new tube the problem was solved.
My Joe Blow Pro will only pump up to about 40 to
Most likely a problem with the check valve - try this: "Make sure the Check Valve at the bottom of the pump is inserted correctly. Unscrew the rounded nut just above the foot rests, pull out the spring and black thingy. The pointy black thingy (check valve) must be inserted first, pin in first, then spring behind it, then small black rubber O ring. One of my four kids (or me?!) must have switched it, because spring first. it would not pump (bounced back and gauge said zero after every pump). Put it in black valve first, and it worked like new. If this does not work for you, it is possible that you need a new check valve, about $3."
