You could have an ice line blockage either from being frozen or some gunk in the line. If you can find the water line you could run a guitar string down it to check for blockages.

I would also check the sensor for the ice bin. If that tells the ice maker that the bin is full it would not allow any ice to dump out of the tray - so need to check if water (ice) is in the tray. If it is, this is a possibility.

Very rarely you will get a vacuum lock after changing the filter. But usually that works itself out in a few hours.

Your first step is to find out if any water is entering the tray, if water isn't getting up to it then a vacuum lock; frozen water line or the 2 line water solenoid are the things you need to check.

2when I open refrigerator door

Have you removed the bins and cleaned under them. Sometimes the overflows and drips accumulate there.

It the refrigerator is clean, then baking soda usually helps with absorbing the odor.

But if you still have odor being produced and the unit is clean, you need to look further. If it is a chemical smell you might want to roll the unit out and check to make sure that there isn't a creamy looking liquid on the floor, which COULD be freon.

But the most likely item is that you have some bacteria growing in the drain line that is producing the odor. Suggest you mix a 50/50 mix of bleach and water and pour that down the drain to kill the bacteria. Do that several times over a day or two and see if the odor goes away.

About every 4-5 days I

Yes its possible clogged drain tube will cause that, de-clogged it by using soft stick or solid wire right enough to penetrate inside the drain tube. Then clean it with water, before doing that transfer the inside of refrigerator (food, beverages, fruits, etc) get it back until you finish the job.
Good luck!

My icemaker does not make ice and the control unit

If it has water going to the ice tray.Defrost and dry out the whole area, with a hair dryer. Some time the linkage will freeze up.When you defrost it it can stay wet and refreeze. If you are not getting water to the ice tray. Then replace the in line water filter. It is found inside the fridge.

If you already have moved it wrong, you can sometimes get it working byplugging it in and unplugging it a number of times with an hour or so inbetween.

On the kenmore 363.59522996 side

This problem is related to defrost. The defrost cycle is not running as it should be. The other possibility can be ice blockage in the ventilations.

The defrost is not working,.The evaporator coil in the inner section of freezer is got blocked by ice .

Try manual defrost reset procedure: ----

First unplug the unit from main power outlet. Then empty whole unit completely. Then keep both the doors open. Wait for 24 hours. All the ice collected on the coils and in the freezer section will get melted. Clean the water from the sections. Then Connect the power cord of the unit to main power outlet after 24 hours/.Then set the temperature to normal in both fridge and freezer section. It will take near to 4 hours to get run in its proper cooling cycle. Then check, if the problem returns again. If the same problem occurs then it's defrost problem. The defrost board and the defrost thermostat/heater is not functioning properly and it has to be checked and replaced.

-------------------------------------------------

Check the damper if there is too much water collected in the damper then press the damper and remove the water collected in it. The procedure of this unit is as follows: --- The compressor starts then it cools the freezer section. When the freezer reaches its cooling level the defrost cycle starts functioning. In this cycle the fan in the freezer section starts running and the cool air in the freezer section is passed to the refrigerator section and the refrigerator section gets cold. The air from freezer to refrigerator passes from the section, in that section the damper is located. Now this problem which you mentioned. In this problem the freezer works but no cooling in fridge, this happens if the thermostat is not functioning or the heater is not heating. Then the ice starts getting collected on the evaporator coil. The evaporator coil is at the internal section of freezer. If too much ice gets

collected then this ice blocks the fan in the freezer section from functioning and this blocks the damper section with ice getting collected there. This all procedure is controlled by the main defrost board of the unit. Now if the damper is not got blocked with too much water or if the ice is not got collected on the damper area then check the evaporator coils. If there is too much ice got collected on the coils, then takes a hair dryer and melt the collected ice. Then see if the problem returns again. But if there is little bit ice collected on the coils and fan is running properly then it's not a problem. In that case main defrost board is faulty and it has to be replaced. The main defrost board is working but its not controlling the functions as required so the freezer works but fridge section not getting cold..

THE PAINT IS PEELING OFF

Yes for sure, youmust first remove all the rust, remove the beadings gaskets and use a primary coat of rustproof primer.

Now use some tinkering with levelling and cleaning with water paper before you can paint with a good coat of food grade paint.fit back the gaskets, wash the fridge with soda and soft detergent
finally polish and wax ,

My fridge and freezer do

OK I will give you a try and see if I can help. Kenmore is a Sears Brand name as you already know. What happens is Sears call their models something different than the number I or you need to make a parts search. Click Here=> Sears Kenmore model Number Prefix and complete Model Number As you see in the photo about mid page the sample number is 795.78753800 so the prefix is in this case a 795 LG Electronics Refrigerator. Once you locate that number I will want you to unplug refrigerator and pull away from wall. Remove the lower cover over the compressor area to expose compressor, condenser fan and condenser coil. Fill the top of your compressor to see if warm, hot or too hot to keep your hand on top of refrigerators compressor. If too hot to keep hand there leave unplugged until compressor cools enough to open the cover on the terminal box on the side and we need to do some test from there. Click here=> How to test a Compressor for Burnout
Down on this Page Almost at Bottom. Don't worry this is only a windings test so you get an idea of what to look for.I want you to open freezer door and feel to make sure fans are running while compressor runs. I will await your response, Thanks, Sea Breeze
