Need to Install a Supco 3 n 1 start capacitor

3 in 1 starters like the supco that you have pictured can and will cause premature failure of your compressor. newer compressors are not designed to handle the start up current the 3-n-1 provides. I reccomend replaing wiht an original oem part the part number is 8201786. If you still want to use the hard start use the 410 model obviously hook up the red white and blak wires to the compressor the 2 left over leads will connect to the 2 original wires that come in to the compressor I beleive they are red and white. polarity does not matter. good luck Peyton

Water dispenser will not work

This could be a bad water valve in the frig. This frig has a double water valves. One for the ice maker and one for the water dispenser. It should be in the lower back. Where the water line goes in. You can check this valve easily. Find the double water valve on the frig. Turn off water supply to frig first. Swap the plastic water lines going from the water valve into the frig. Turn water supply on. Then see if the water dispenser works. Sometimes you will have to operate the water dispenser for a little while to get the air out of the line. If it works now then the problem is in the water valve solenoid and needs to be replaced.

How do I gain access to door chute on kenmors 106.59129801

The first thing to do is unplug the machine. After that slide out the area where the water falls, I guess you would call that a drip pan, and place to the side. Now, the part that always makes me uncomfortable, you're going to have to pop the trim off the door. Its held on by little clips, and the method I found most succcessful without damging the trim or breaking the clips is to get a small flathead screwdriver, and just above the lower corner, either one, slide it in between the trim and the door and kind of pry it forward. Once you get started its down hill from there. After you get the trim off, you'll be able to remove the control area, which is either held in by screws or sometimes tabs, and access the flap. Note that alot of times the door flap is fine, its a plastic little ring that is broken on the mold of the door. In the past you had to buy the whole door, which ran about $700, but now there is a repair kit, which cost me whole sale no more than $50, so retail about $70 or so I would assume. There are other parts in the area that helo the machine function, such as the soleniod that connects to the flap to help open or shut it, retaining bracket, and so forth. Once you have the dispenser apart it shouldn't take long to isolate the problem. If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/jason_4570d45317834dd3

How long should my refrigerator run before stopping

That depends on the what the temperature is set at, but regardless, the timer will shut it off every 6 or 8 hours, depending on which timer you have to defrost. The most common cause though of excessive running is that the machine is low on freon and never actually reaches the temperature set. If this was the case normally you will see a reduction in ice production as well. If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/jason_4570d45317834dd3

We have a kenmore fridge

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.
First I would check cold control. Thats where you turn it off, if your temp is not warm. it can
be defective and not shutting off. If your temp is warm proceed with the following.
I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if FREEZER CONTROL is turned WARMER WHICH MAKES THE REF COLDER AND VICE-VERSA. SEE?
The ref. temp should be about 33-35
The Freezer temp should be 0 to 10 Any thing below these temps is overkill and a waste of elect
The higher the number you turn it up to is the coldest
But is probably a common defrost problem The ice build up
is not being melted by the defrost system. The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater, heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.
Its best handled by a Technician but you could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. They are mostly located in freezer ,behind back panel on freezer coils.except the card which is usually located in ref The parts store will have info
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath
Make sure back cover is on the fridge. Some take them off and throw them away.
make one out of cardboard if its gone, using the holes of the old one.

There is reddish (rusty) leak

Sounds like there is a lot of iron in the water.
Go to www.applianceart.com and look through their fridge cover options.

They have magnetic and vinyl. Vinyl seems like the best option. It will cover the rusty coloring and protect the surface from further problems. They will even custom make covers for you. All you need is an idea and measurements.
