Hi The water is kept cool in reservoir in the fridg. Remove the inlet tube push for water check pressure better worse? Work your way back to valve good luck

Please don't rotate that dial it can damage the ice maker. This sounds like the dual water control valve on the back of refrigerator most times. Part 2002182 Water Inlet ValveParts manual => ED22DQ I will be here should you have questions, Thanks Sea Breeze

What is the model number of the unit?

There are several things this could be. The switch for the lever that turns on the water could be stuck and holding the solenoid on. The other thing could be the water valve could have something stuck in it that is keeping it from shutting off the water. I have taken these apart in the past and found sediment stuck in the valve. Since you say that you have filteration on the line, is the filter installed? If you find a canister looking thing on the water line, often in the basement ceiling, then the likely culprit is the switch.

I recently had trouble with both my water dispenser and my ice maker. I determined that my filter was clogged, so I replaced it. That fixed the water dispenser but the ice maker still wasn't working. I investigated further and found that the water inlet tube was frozen solid. Aparently, when the filter was clogged the water came in so slowly that it froze before it got to the icetray. I tried pouring hot water over the inlet tube to melt it and it mostly worked, but there was still some ice in the tube further back where I couldn't reach. Finally I defrosted the freezer so all the ice could melt and turned it back on and now it works great! Hope this might help.

Hi .. first I would try and eliminate the filter as the problem. Remove the filter and try the water again. If the water flows strong, then the filter is the problem. If the water stills sputters and is low flow, then there is a partial blockage in the internal tubing , or a problem with the supply. If you roll the fridge out to get at the suppl. you could shut it off and disconnect the supply tube from the fridge, then turn the water on slowly to check the flow at the supply. If the flow is good there , then the blockage is internal.

• Assure that there is enough room for air flow in the refrigerator or freezer
• Check for air flow restrictions in vents
• Test the temperature control
• Clean the condensor coils
• Check the door seals
• Test the door switch
• Test defrost heater
• Test defrost timer
• Test evaporator fan
• Check for a clogged drain tube
• Check for refrigerant leak

Carefully use a hairdryer to warm up the ice maker tray.
