Refrigerator gasket cement (what is it so I can buy it)
ill assume there is a tear in the gasket? if this is the case you can mend a tear with regular clear(or white) g.e. 100%silicone. apply a little silicone n the seam where the tear is and close the door overnight allowing the silicone to set up. it will remain flexible enought to compensate for the door opening and closing
Refrigerator is leaking water into drawers and out on floor
Your defrost drain is clogged . Remove the rear freezer panel and using a hair dryer , defrost the aluminum tray below the coils . When you see the drain hole , defrost it and use a small tube to insert and blow thru to remove any possible "gunk" . You may have to use a little hot water to help defrost the drain , but keep at it until you can blow thru it .
Ice maker not working
Make sure the lever is down first . if so ,pour about 1/2 cup of water into icemaker and see if it harvests (dumps) . If it harvests , then the water valve is bad . If not , and the ice stays in the icemaker , then the icemaker is bad .
Freezer not working in garage top mount freezer on refrigerator
Sears is technically correct. It wouldn't work with the old coolant either. The principle is simple. The refrigerator is the same temp as your garage - it is not running. It must be in a 60 degree room to work properly. The sensor to turn it on is in the fresh food compartment, and it never calls for cooling; therefore it appears you freezer only is out - but they both work together. Hope this helps!
Kenmore fridge not getting cold
first thing to heck would be the condenser fan motor which is located int the compressor compartment pull the refrig away form the wall remove cardboard cover and inspect the fan motor that you will see. check for obstruction or if the fan motor is seized. if this motor fails it will cause the compressor to run extremely hot then shut off on internal motor protector. if you determine the motor is bad you can place a house fan behind unit blowing on compressor area to keep unit working until you get it repaired.
Thanks Peyton
Fridge exposed to cold temps.
No there is no reset button. It could be the internal fan has gone bad or the compressor is shot. Unless you have bumped any lines and caused a freon leak.
Freezer is freezing up.
Have a look at your door seals - if they're not airtight, the fridge will just suck in water vapour and freeze it.
