Hi, There are a few reasons why the refrigerator part will not cool...here are a couple of tips that will help you to figure out why the refrigerantor is not cooling...
Hello. The symptoms you describe are those of a failing door gasket. The only repair is to replace that gasket. Here is a link to an excellent step by step on how to replace your gasket. regards, Joe
I would check the defrost drain inside the freezer. this is real easy to do on this model refrig.
remove bottom basket (if it isnt frozen in place) and the shelf above it.
in th back just below the coil cover in the freezer section there is a ledge that will most likely be frozen over remove this ice using a hair dryer or hot water which ever is conveinant for you
you should uncover a drain hole flush this drain with hot water I use a turkey baster or large syringe to forcefully push water thru to clear anything in the drain
put it back together and you should be good to go
when ever the unit goes into defrost (which is about twice a day) the water runs over the ledge and then out of the door by the hinge puddling up next to the wheel.
this unit has a hard fiberglass drain pan that is built in and unless it has been dropped i cant imagine the drain pan being damaged.
Let me know if you have any other questions Peyton

This model refrigerator is a relatively small refrigerator. It is a Freezer on top model, and Sears documents lists this unit at 18.1 cu ft. I hope that answers your question about capacity.
I'm glad I could help. If you need anything else, just let me know.
In reality, when you buy a replacement, you buy by dimensions to fit the space not cubic feet of the old one. Go to Home Depot armed with a tape measure.

Turn it off by removing the wall plug for 10 minutes. This will do a power rest to the control electronics. This is a bottom mounted freezer, so cold air for the fridge is vented upwards by a fan. Make sure it is running and there are no ice blockages. Strangely they call the fan in the fridge an
Refrigerator Evaporator Fan Motor. The part is obsolete anyway.
If it normally says 4 for the fridge, that would be 4 degrees Centigrade, which means the freezer should show minus 18'C. Or 36'F Fridge / 0' F Freezer/
This shows all the parts.

Not normally a flapper. There is a trap on the rear outside cabinet just below the level of the freezer. Remove it and soak in hot water and bleach for 20 minutes, then flush all the debris out, shake it dry and reinstall.
