I have a TOTO MS854114SL

What you hear is the washer vibrating against the ballcock seat. The reason it stops when you turn the water on is that you have lowered the pressure by opening a valve. You can go at this two ways. (1) you can lower the pressure by turning the angle stop located below the tank until the noise stops or, (2) you can shut off the stop and remove the three screws on top and cup your hand over the top and just crack the stop enough to flush out any trash that may be in there. After you do that pull the washer out of its holder and flip it over in its holder and reinstall the top and float. One of the two should do the trick. If not click on back and
replace the flush valve. Joe

Need to replace toilet seat but cant get at bottom

Use deep sockets and not a wrench. Place flat head screwdriver on the top screw for resistance, while tightening or loosening the bolt at bottom with the deep socket and wrench.

Water kept going after flushing

if it is new you may need to adjust the fill valve so that there is enough pressure on it to shut it off. It may have also got some dirt into the fill valve not allowing it to shut off.
If it has been in service and has just started doing this you may need to simply change the flapper on the flush valve. Make sure you get and exact Toto replacement.

Hi,
Shorten the chain so it lifts the flapper higher, or if you have a flapper with a hole in the bottom, then close off the hole a bit so that the air stays in longer...

Toilet keeps running after it

Inside the tank where the water line connects is the fill valve. If the float is sticking on something that would be one problem. If the float is not triggering the valve to turn the water off then you would need to replace the fill valve unit. If you dont have time to get to it right away then you could turn the water off and on to the toilet until you have time to replace the fill valve unit.

Toilet keeps running water in

You don't have to replace, You just need to adjust the fill valve. If you have the ball **** type just tight the top phillips screw. If you have the newer type, close the water valve under the tank and Push down a plastic ring at the bottom of the filling valve, Push down the top of the valve, lift the plastic ring to it's place and open the water valve.

Cannot get the bolts and

Some manufacturers specify only to use rubber washers inside the tank, and only one bolt on bottom. I usually assemble the bolt with one metal washer on bolt ( or bolt with large head) then a rubber washer, then through tank, then another washer, then a metal washer (brass or stainless) then another nut. Snug these nuts up tight, but be careful not to over tighten or you'll break the tank. Do this to all the bolts. Then set the tank on bowl, with the bolts extending through the bottom. Make sure your gasket is up all the way on the nipple, so the tank will tighten to the stops on the bowl. Now put another set of rubber washer, and metal washer and nut (thumb nuts are fine here) Tighten till tank doesn't rock and is resting on stops. Now it doesn't have to be so tight, as the bolts are already tight in the tank. You can get a fluidmaster bolt kit at home depot that has enough bolts, washers and all

Hi\r\n

The power supply has most likely been damaged beyond repair.
To replace the power supply or voltage converter would require sending it to the manufacturer, and may cost as much as a new unit with a warranty.

Thanks for using FixYA!

When you flush, the bowl refills and then suddenly

it sounds like it is not flushing completely at first and then releases and the suction is pulling water out of the bowl. Could be a venting issue or a clog issue that is hindering the proper flushing of the toilet.
