How do I freeze zucchini
The best way to freeze zucchini is to blanch it first. This allows it to stay firm and green in your freezer bags, while locking in nutrients.
- Wash your zucchini and remove tops and any bad spots.
- Cut zucchini into slices or strips.
- Bring a pot of water to a full boil. Add the zucchini to the water. Leave in for 1 minute only.
- Quickly remove it, and plunge it into a bowl of ice water. This keeps it from becoming limp and will stop the blanching process.
- Pat dry until no water remains on zucchini. Excess water causes freezer burn and frost inside your bags.
- Store in freezer bags according to size you want, making sure that all air is pressed out of the bag before sealing.
- Mark bags with date, and you are done.
How can I freeze zucchini for later use?
If you want to chop first, add a little olive oil and salt before processing. Remember to draw out all the air in the container before freezing!
You can also slice and do the same (oil and salt)

Can I freeze zucchini in large chucks
Just do not blanch first, this makes it sticky when defrosted.
Cut into pieces, place in heavy-duty freezer bag and draw out the air before sealing the bag. To use, wait for defrosting before opening packet.

My Kitchenaid food processor, Model # FFPW760QBUD, has no power
Hi, first of all check the fuse to see if it is still working, and if the fuse is fine, then you follow this instruction below....
The brush must be insert in a particular manner in order for it to work, remove the brushes and shine a flashlight into the hole, you will see a small detent or "stop" in one corner of the hole. It is a square hole, match this corner with with the corner of the brush which shaved off. The brush is not square, it has one corner shaved or smoothed down. this allow the brush to fully extend into the hole. If the brush is inserted any other way, it will not contact the motor and it will not run, but if it does contact, it will start up....
Please if you cannot follow this procedure, take it to a near by technician to properly fix it..
Take care
Lid is stuck in wrong direction will not come off
I got the lid off by using a turkey-skewer (i.e., a long pin) to push down on the long white plastic piece, in the handle, just above the spring.
When you push it down far enough, you can twist the cover back over to the proper side.
(We think we created this situation ourselves by mistakenly twisting the cover into place clockwise, rather than counter-clockwise.)
My kitchenaid food processor won't work
Does the actuator push down far enough to catch the button at the bottom? I repaired one simply by adding a vinyl screw cover to the top of the button so it was tall enough to be reached by the actuator.
