How do I freeze zucchini

The best way to freeze zucchini is to blanch it first. This allows it to stay firm and green in your freezer bags, while locking in nutrients.
  • Wash your zucchini and remove tops and any bad spots.
  • Cut zucchini into slices or strips.
  • Bring a pot of water to a full boil. Add the zucchini to the water. Leave in for 1 minute only.
  • Quickly remove it, and plunge it into a bowl of ice water. This keeps it from becoming limp and will stop the blanching process.
  • Pat dry until no water remains on zucchini. Excess water causes freezer burn and frost inside your bags.
  • Store in freezer bags according to size you want, making sure that all air is pressed out of the bag before sealing.
  • Mark bags with date, and you are done.

How can I freeze zucchini for later use?

If you want to chop first, add a little olive oil and salt before processing. Remember to draw out all the air in the container before freezing! You can also slice and do the same (oil and salt) Bruno

Can I freeze zucchini in large chucks

Just do not blanch first, this makes it sticky when defrosted. Cut into pieces, place in heavy-duty freezer bag and draw out the air before sealing the bag. To use, wait for defrosting before opening packet.

My Kitchenaid food processor, Model # FFPW760QBUD, has no power

Hi, first of all check the fuse to see if it is still working, and if the fuse is fine, then you follow this instruction below....

The brush must be insert in a particular manner in order for it to work, remove the brushes and shine a flashlight into the hole, you will see a small detent or "stop" in one corner of the hole. It is a square hole, match this corner with with the corner of the brush which shaved off. The brush is not square, it has one corner shaved or smoothed down. this allow the brush to fully extend into the hole. If the brush is inserted any other way, it will not contact the motor and it will not run, but if it does contact, it will start up....

Please if you cannot follow this procedure, take it to a near by technician to properly fix it..

Take care

Kitchenaid kneading blade stuck

Check that the safety lock pin is releasing from the base. It is the thing in the tube down the side of the bowl that the lug on the lid engages with. It stops the motor running with the lid off..https://www.google.com/search?q=Kitchen+Aid+food+processor+bowl+stuck..

Question about KitchenAid KFP0711 KFP0711OB 7-Cup Food Processor - I unscrewed the handle to clean it and the spring mechanism fell out. How does it go back together?

I have the 11 cup Kitchenaid food processor and did the same thing this weekend. It took a while but finally figured out how it went back together. Hopefully the pictures help. I know it's difficult to see since the pieces are all black. Good luck!

Lid is stuck in wrong direction will not come off

I got the lid off by using a turkey-skewer (i.e., a long pin) to push down on the long white plastic piece, in the handle, just above the spring. When you push it down far enough, you can twist the cover back over to the proper side. (We think we created this situation ourselves by mistakenly twisting the cover into place clockwise, rather than counter-clockwise.)

Kitchenaid food processor KFI 1325 brand new first use and won’t turn on

Make sure you have the bowl, lid and sometimes the pusher assembled correctly. If everything is not correct it will not activate the safety switch to allow it to start up.

My Kitchenaid KFP6000B food processor still works fine, but it is becoming very difficult to lock the blender top in place in order to turn it on, and then difficult to remove the top.

Possibly something about either the lid or the bowl has become deformed. Very likely you will need to replace one or the other.

My kitchenaid food processor won't work

Does the actuator push down far enough to catch the button at the bottom? I repaired one simply by adding a vinyl screw cover to the top of the button so it was tall enough to be reached by the actuator.

Kitchenaid food processor KFP1642MS This model requires the bowl, lid and plunger to be installed before it works. With all items installed this processor has been intermittent and getting worse.

The solution is 90% going to be replace the lid, or replace the bowl or if you are very unlucky replace both. A proper KitchenAid service agent should have both parts on the shelf and will be able to try a new one of either to see where the fault lies. I think over the years I've replaced more lids than I have bowls.
