I took my oster trimmers

Unfortunately, Oster does not publish any real maintenance manuals. Basically, if you only took apart the cutting blades and the oscillator, it's not too hard. If you tried to take apart the electric motor, that's a whole different story. If it's just the blade assembly, carefully align the blade assembly with the groove pointing into the trimmer handle and hold the blades together so that they are parallel, not crooked and reinsert the screws. You will see how the blades align, based on the wear marks on the bottom blade guide. If you took apart the oscillating arm, then line up the cam pin with the round hole in the arm, then replace the screws that attach the top blade to the oscillating arm. You may have to push in the tension arm so that you can align the screws with the threaded holes on the handle first. Final step is to screw the bottom blade guide back onto the handle, again align the guide with the blades so that they are parallel and not crooked. The best way to do this is to start threading the screws, then before tightening them all the way, align the blades first. If none of this works, go to this website: http://www.osterstyle.com/CustomerService.aspx and locate an authorized Oster dealer/support center near you. You'll probably have to mail the clippers in to one of the sites.

On switch

This IS tricky. You have to place the "L" shaped pin of the spring into the hole in the middle of the wooden looking contact switch. Then put the zigzaggy end of the spring into the hole in the on/off switch. Place the big hole of the wooden looking over the dowel on the "switch" side. Now the trick is to do all this and hold it together while replacing the top magnetic part of the motor. This will hold it in place. Them put the rest of the motor in. screw and your done. Hope this was helpful

Oster A5 turbo 2 speed Pet Clippers

Send it back for refund. Nothing in a clipper should overheat like that. Buy the best, buy Wahl..Oster make kitchen small appliances. Wow, I just Googled these and they are $210! Looks like made for Pro use, however the overheating issue is a known fault mentioned here on Fixya and in reviews.https://www.google.com/search?safe=off&rlz=1C1QJDB_enCA643CA644&sxsrf=ALeKk01wxC5WCeRaj1QnQ36Nj7aY94IU5g%3A1612122391802&ei=FwkXYLzEMK29ggfh8bmgCw&q=oster+A5+turbo+2+speed+overheating..

eBay sale item may be similar to yours with a manual:https://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-OSTER-Double-Action-Electric-Knife-Sharpener-W-Manual-USA-Model-522-/153587369882For link below, registration is required, and I have not personally registered to verify it. Where can I view the wiring diagram for my vintage knife and scissor sharpener Oster model522

It is unlikely you will find a wiring diagram for an old model. It should be a simple wiring where the plug wires split and one goes to a switch and then from the switch a wire goes to the motor. The other plug wire goes to the motor. The unit probably doesn't have a polarized plug, so no need to know which side of the plug wire goes to the switch and which goes to the motor.
