Engine is pumping oil back
I am thinking that your air filter is extremely dirty. The engine creates a suction and if the air filter is so dirty that air cannot pass through it, then it will start to **** from the engine block and oil will come into the manifold and drip out through the filter and onto the ground. Have you tried to start and run the engine without the filter (in a clean location only and for a short time) to see if the problem still exists without the air filter? This will determine if the engine is pumping the oil out. If it runs fine without excessive oil being drawn into the manifold, then I would purchase a new air filter (do not reuse these filters) and try it out.
How do you adjust the voltage?
Hi,
As per instructions says the voltage regulator is automatic/digital. when
you check the voltage is there any load on the generator? if applying
load to the generator doesn't help, you can manually change the motor
speed where the governor connects to the carborator, but it may change
the frequency, but the regulator may fix it.
Applying load will increase the excitation current (its how the
generator knows to start making electricity) anyways, i usually use a
shop light for my load, you can't hurt them with low voltage. the
adjustments for the motor speed will be mechanical (prob. a screw or
linkage) i would call customer service if all this fails, they actually
help pretty good
.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using "Fixya".
Starts runs stops
Owen....sounds like fuel starvation check u have plenty fuel then clean ur fuel filter in line and in tank if u have 1, to check fuel is running ok remove fuel line the end thats connected to carb put in jar to catch fuel if runs ok thats good if slow flow or just dribbling blow through with air line then check again if ok reconnect

Stale Fuel in gas tank
go to any auto parts store and get one of the products they have to remove the gum in the carburator and line. Some of the products are simply poured into the gas tank along with some fresh gas. good luck.

Will one of the newer sensors work in place of my 1457 sensor?
It's possible that one of the newer sensors could work in place of your 1457 sensor, but it depends on the specifications of the newer sensors and the compatibility with your base unit. The I MAX1457 sensor, which is a highly integrated analog-sensor signal processor optimized for piezoresistive sensor calibration and compensation. However, I have no information about its compatibility. If you're looking for a replacement sensor, I suggest contacting the manufacturer of your base unit to inquire about compatible sensors. Alternatively, you can check the user manual of your base unit to see if it lists compatible sensors. Garage door opener sensors are not universal. Safety sensors can only communicate with garage door openers from the same brand.
