see which function keys have tv like symbol and accordingly use the combination if not try all keys or use the sofware option in display properties

if your tv supports vga port connect using vga cord and use the combination keys fn and f5 or whichever specified second option ids hdmi or video out.

when restarting ur computer before the windows display try to press the f9 or f10 key depending on your own system..you will find the system configuration there and then click on language to change to ur desired language..but if you were unable to see the english languauge option, then you have to install a new operating system to it..simply because it was installed with a french OS...

maybe you have already done this, but remember that many laptops require that you remove the battery for about 30 sec. as well as disconnect the AC power to reset them.Always try this when everything seems completely dead.
