Click start control panel keyboard hardware make sure you have the right keyboard selected or you might have uninstall the keyboard then restart your computer then reinstall it and its drivers click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to keyboard you might see a yellow question /exclamation mark ? ! or a red X right click update driver if your computer came with a motherboard disk the drivers could be on it

rather doing a driver hunt which can take hours

If you got it Second hand then why don't you install OS freshly because i don't think there is any thing important for you inside since bought it second hand from other.

Try checking your BIOS setting to see that the Camera is enabled. It can get disabled.- Press F2 to go into the BIOS screen when booting the 1000H- Choose Advanced from the top menu (left / right arrows)- Choose Onboard Devices Configuration (up / down arrows)- Check Onboard Camera is Enabled- Pres F10- OKWhen it reboots, check to see if works again.

Dry it using drier or sunlight

Set up a thick towel on the table, open laptop and carefully lay LCD face down so more water can drain, don't forget to remove main battery and unplug the adapter. I strongly recommend having a computer repair shop strip it down for water damage and cleanup.

Are you sure your USB charger is working properly? Have you tried replacing the battery? You might try this trick: Make sure that your Notebook is plugged into the charger and that it is plugged into the power outlet, press the power button and hold it down for 20 seconds, then release the button and wait about one minute, now press the power button again and hold it down for 20 seconds again. You have to make a bootable stick with the desired operating system, or must have an external dvd rom and the operating system boottable disk. Make sure BIOS is set to boot from removable devices (press F2 when booting, modify: boot -> boot device -> boot device priority so you boot removable devices first, save the new BIOS settings).For bootable stick click here

Remove the main battery and try again, if no! sub out the ram one at a time and test each, if still no result! the motherboard has a major issue.

You may have the minutes too low and you might have it set to always require a password once the screen saver kicks in.Click Start/Control Panel/Power Options Look at your power options and settings. You may have them set too low and the system is either hibernating, sleeping, etc. At first I thought your system was overheating and turning off but that is not the case if you are able to put in a password and log right back in and resume.
