2006 Holiday Rambler Presidential won't run 12 volt system without shore power. Battery good. Battery switch good. Auto reset breakers good.

Converter powers DC system and charges battery with AC power plugged in. Some have found a manual reset breaker just after the battery but mine are auto reset and test out fine. Suggestions?

Don't know the system, but it should be easy enough to trace it with a simple voltmeter. I would suspect the battery connections first. A bad connection could allow the battery to charge and the converter could provide enough power, but when off, the voltage drop across the battery terminal could be too much.
Without shore power, turn something on that will draw a few amps and measure the 12V starting on the battery connection, not the battery terminals. Then compare it to a measurement on the terminals. If there is any diff, remove the connectors, clean and lub and replace. From there, just follow the wiring.

yeah from what im to understand... you charge it overnight, and yes another way to use it (and possibly better way) is connecting to the battery directly..... it should work on your van fine i think, its worth a shot, hope this helps :)

SOURCE: Battery will not charge/ keep computer on. laptop

Sounds to me like the transformer circuit that enables the batery to charge. If you have bought your machine within the last 12 months it should still be covered by warranty so go back to the supplier. If not covered I wouod still try as it is not beyond reasonable expecations that the machine will operate perfectly in very way for more than 1 year.

Can I hook up my 2006 holiday rambler Neptune to 220 volts without changing factory settings

If it is wired for 220, maybe, but if not it may blow your converter/charger. Most RVs aren't set up for 220 straight into the system.

I have a 2003 Holiday rambler presidential 5th wheel and my bedroom slide will go out but won't come in with the switch. I replaced the switch and the battery and it still doesn't work. Help please.

You need to get to the motor and see if there is power going to it in both directions. Does it sound like the motor is running but nothing moving?

We have a 2001 presidential 5th wheel it is hooked up and plugged and everything works but the lights. Is there a separate switch to turn these on?

There is probably a breaker box in the bedroom closet behind a panel. Look elsewhere if not there and check the breakers when you find it. You may have a short circuit somewhere and the breaker opened. Or maybe even a failed breaker. Check for voltage at the breaker itself. Don't assume the breaker is getting power.

Outlets not working all fuses are good

120-
VOLT
AC
SYSTEM
The following electrical components (if so equipped) will only operate when your
RV is connected to shore power: 120 to
12-volt power converter, air conditioner,
120-volt refrigerator, microwave oven, television(s), fireplace and appliances
plugged into convenience receptacles.

SECTION 6 - ELECTRICAL SYSTEM JAYCO TOWABLE
6-2
120-
VOLT
CIRCUIT
BREAKERS
The 120-volt AC circuit breakers located in
side the main load center protect all
120-volt wiring and components in the RV fr
om circuit overloads and short circuits.
Should a circuit overload or short circui
t occur the circuit breaker protecting the
affected circuit will "trip" preventing the flow of electricity through that circuit.
If a circuit breaker trips, shut "off"
the appliance on that circuit (i.e., power
converter etc.) and allow the circuit breaker to cool down for a brief period of time.
After the cooling down period, reset the circuit breaker by moving its lever "off" and
then back to the "on" position. If the circuit breaker re-trips or frequently trips,
contact your dealer to have the electrical problem diagnosed and repaired.
A circuit breaker identification label is permanently attached to the inside surface
of the 120-volt load center.
Maintenance and Replacement
At the beginning of camping season, inspect the circuit breakers and replace as
needed. Test by turning each circuit breaker "off" and back "on". Circuit breakers
are wearable parts and must be replaced
as needed, as part of your RV
maintenance. If you have any questions, consult your dealer.
Please contact your dealer for repair assistance when replacing circuit breakers.
CONVERTER
The power converter converts 120-volt AC power to useable 12-volt DC power
when the shore power cord is connected to an external power source.
The converter has a built-in protective thermal breaker that will shut it down should
overheating occur. Overheating can be
caused by operating the converter above
its maximum power output for an extended period of time, or by an obstruction to
its ventilation air flow. To reduce converter heat build keep unnecessary 12-volt
lights and motors turned "off"
.
Keep the converter cooling fins and fan clear of
obstructions.
Inspection and maintenance
If the 12-volt power converter is not working (auxiliary battery not being charged)
check the reverse polarity fuse(s) in the converter fuse panel.
There are no
customer serviceable parts inside the converter case and the
manufacturer's warranty will be void if
the case has been removed
. If you
have further concerns contact your dealer.
