Try replacing the heat disc it as two wires going to it and two screws holding on the heat chamber

SOURCE: glow plug problem

We had a similar problem and you might wish to investigate the following
Check that the steering column has not created a cascade of (?copper) shavings onto your ignition circuits in the steering column itself (from the power steering assembly in the top of the steering wheel head) - we had this on our 1992 LHD column gear Ducato and it made the glow lamps come on and light up all the time causing overheating and smoking , cleaning the circuits and wiring in there and lubricating the disc sorted it out - after some costly cylinder head removal etc - we learnt the hard way !!!!!

Fiat Ducato 2.8 JDT 4 Berth custom motorhome won't turn over despite new battery and starter?

Question edited for clarity. Please always include full make and model.
Question moved to RVs.

Sounds like you need a new garage!

Either the new battery is flat or the starter solenoid is faulty or they hit the inertia cut off. Did they reset the security system after disconnecting the battery?

you are not alone. There is an inertia switch behind the battery.

Fiat Ducato motor home. When I put it into gear it pops straight out. Automatic transmission. Appreciate any help please.

it may be that the the lock button on the quick release on the gear select is not engaged, lift off the gear select stick surround check that the lock plug is going in to the stalk, does the gear select stay in drive if you hold the stick

1986 motorhome, duel tanks, selector switch on rear tank all is good but when i switch to front tank both tanks are now running, the rear tank does not turn off?

Often the set up is wired with a DPDT (or SPDT) switch on the dash. The switch powers a solenoid valve that opens to allow fuel to be pumped from whichever valve is open. I'd check that the solenoid valves are working as they should.
