Where the spring is to connect on the frame I cannot see anything to connect it to, There is a small hole on the frame just behind the kickstand where is bolted to the frame - was something else suppose to be in that hole like a post with a hole in it to hook the spring in it??? I have called the nearest Victory Dealer [27 miles away] with no help other than bring it in and probably another $100. I have thought about epoxing a nut on the frame to hook the end of the spring into, but am not sure how epoxy will hold up. I have thought about "welding" a nut on but it appears that either the brake lines or fuel lines are directly behind this area so I'm a little reluctant to do this - I WOULD VERY MUCH APPRECIATE ANY HELP AND PICTURES OF A PROPERLY CONNECTED KICKSTAND SPRING AT THE FRAME for a 2003 Victory Cruiser. THANK YOU
I had the same problem. So I'll tell you how I fixed it. the first time i broke it off I found the little nub. drilled a small hole in the nub then puddle welded it back where the hole was.
others have drilled and tapped the hole to put a small bolt in place. One guy even had a bracket made and welded in place.
Decide what solution works and try it out. I work at a steel shop so my solution wasn't too difficult.
Hope this helps.
