Will seafoam help with some of these things? I've downloaded the manual and it's not so helpful. So what will the throttle stop screw help with and in my manual it almost looks like the idle and throttle stop screw are one of the same? First bike owner so work in progress!:
Hi Michael, Yes, throttle stop screw adjusts idle speed. Needing 'choke' after warm-up,indicates a very 'lean' condition;not getting enough gas. check intermediate jet[s] float bowl[s] for CRUD! check/set float level.... If it has multiple carbs, refrain from anything other than cleaning,multi-setups should be synchronized ,seek a competent shop. Keep the SHINY SIDE UP Bro
Yeah it's a dual mikuni setup. My buddy helped me with a carb clean last week and that helpedbut he's no motorcycle mechanic?:) I'll mess with the idle speed and throw some seafoam through it. See what happens. If i can run the country roads out in iowa at a 100mph with no helmet on my brothers harley i should be ok in oxnard on a suzuki?:)

Sounds like you need to do a carb clean out sounds like some debris is blocking the fuel supply gas tank could have some garbage in there also
Cleaned the carbs with a friend last week. Didnt flush the tank like we should have on his advice? At least it rund now but not cleaning the tank seems like it could put me in the same position again!? I've had different suggestions on how to run the seafoam. The best way ive heard is empty the fuel in the bowl and add the same amount of seafoam thru the inlet. start it up and get it in and let it sit over nite then run it through. then add to at least one tank of gas. your oppinion?
