Suzuki gs 750 getting a constant flow of fuel out of the crank vent up top. was told that the petcock is most likely running fuel as if it where in prime and overfilling carbs ? looking for petcock rebuild kit now. any other ideas ?
The breather tube may warrant re-jetting but not re-syncing.
A “very helpful” rating for this answer? Thanks!
Go slow. Jets are cheap. Also, you may actually need to go the other way on the jets. With all the add-ons, they could conflict and cause the need for counter intuitive adjustments.

Hey man,
I chopped a 79 gs750 and built my own 2-1 intakes for the carbs with pods and custom 4-1 exhaust, I have increased my main jet from the stock 102.5 to 160 my plugs still look a bit on the lean side and i am thinking of increasing my pilot jet size from 17.5 to 25. You may have to go a few more than 2 or 3 sizes bigger. general rule of thumb i have heard is 25% larger than stock with your mods so you will need closer to a 122.5 or so main jet.

i have owned this bike for 15 years. i replaced the oil about 2 months ago. what i have noticed is that the petcock vacuum line has fuel draining to the carbs. earlier today i replaced the rubber parts in the petcock now im good on the fuel spraying out the top oil breather crank vent. my problem now is that since i replaced the factory air box with unipods and the oil breather with a small filter im running to lean. last year i had the carbs synced, i think the extra fuel from the oil breather going in to the air box has cause for a resync ? im not sure how long the fuel was spraying out oil breather in to factory air box but i noticed it as soon as i put the small filter on the breather tube ? Oh well the petcock seems to have been leaking gas through the vacuum line. Thanks
Thats what i was thinking because i also installed a vance and hines 4 to 1. Now with the exhaust, unipods, and the extra fuel problem solved, i am getting alot of popping when i throttle down. even some popping back through the carbs on throttle down. Plugs are new and switched points to dynatek electronic ignition. Maybe i should go up 2 or 3 sizes on the main jets ?
i thank you for your input and i did rate very helpful. i think its time for me to buy a new bike this thing is gonna nickle and dime me to death.
Are the fuel lines hooked up correctly? Drain the oil. It sounds like you have a crankcase full of gas instead of oil.
