These trucks had a problem with tje ac commpressor clutch breaking i would recomend sliding under truck and looking closely at the ac clutch. also the idler pulleys tensioner and waterpump pulley as these are also problematic

replace the hub n bearing assembly> i would do both sides because if you dont you will be doing it soon> it makes sence to do them both> repair is not a big deal good luck

I agree with duane_wong on this one ( not like he was looking for my approval :) ), it sounds like a problem with the IWE ( Integrated Wheel End ) on that side.
Quick test, when you are in 4H ( or 4L ) does the noise still happen ?
I would say cracked vacuum line to the IWE, or a problem with the vacuum diaphragm in the IWE. You can test by having the motor running in park, and in 2H, and check the vacuum line at the IWE for vacuum. Make sure you test to the vacuum line, not the vent line ( ends in the engine compartment, not hooked to anything )

The Coolant Temperature Sensor is located under hood, center, front engine area, rear of water outlet, mounted in intake manifold.

Go to an alignment shop. Sounds like tierod ends or ball joints. They will yank on them before an alignment to check play. Do not wait too long.

this is a guess but the inner tie rod and tie rod end (you have one of each on each side of the truck), wear out and make a loud clunk, mostly when changing direction, but also on starting & stopping. ABout a $200 repair including a front end alignment.

Call at least 3 shops for an estimate including your Ford dealer.

May be the locking hub. Do not drive this vehicle on dry pavement in four wheel drive.

My 2003 F150 Supercrew would not engage in 4x4, it ended up being the shifting fork in the front end, cost me $200.
