Kick start on Honda CR 125 seems to be stuck - 2002 Honda CR 125 R

I had the same problem, and i was that the shaft that the kick start was attached to had sezied on to the idler gear in side the engine. all i did was drain the oil, remove the cover and replace the shaft and idler gear.

Some one tried to get rid of the whinning noise it should have a lite wait oil in itJohnny

I have a cr 125. I want to know if need to change the ring on my piston after driving it one summer?
Depends entirely on how much you drove it and how hard. Does it still start easily? Does it still seem to go like it always has? If it still seems healthy, it probably is. Bear in mind that bikes seem to slow down as you get used to them (or get fatter LOL).

My 2002 Honda Cr 125 will not start. After about 20 kicks it makes this popping noise from the exahaust. It has good gas and the carb has been cleaned.
pull the spark plug check if it is wet/fouled,clean and dry it,then ground the pug to the head spin the motor and che the spark to see if you have spar arching across to the electrode tip if it is not and you hear but do not see it and it is sparking within the body of the plug replace it.

Can i use a cr 250 kickstarter return spring on my 85 cr 125 to increase the return spring force on the kickstarter,has to be lifted up after it is kicked down.the return spring is new unless they gave me...
They are probably the same part anyway,
there may be a problem with the installation.

I put a new piston and gasket kit on my cr 125 1997 and it still has no compression at all you can push down the kick lever with your hand??i need help i just bought it two weeks ago
Honda 4 stroke, correct? It sounds like you have the valve timing off. Put a compression gauge on it and if you have 0 compression ,you shou;d reck your valve timing. Good Luck

I have a 94 cr 125 , that i just bought , it started at the guys house but now wont start for me , tried putting a new plug in , any ideas
Try a compression test first see what it is, next check for spark, remove plug from engine leave connected, ground the end of the plug to the engine and kick over, if you have good compression and spark, it is in the carburation, some bikes dont start well when cold due to bad carburation(air leaks, bad jets etc)you could try roll starting down hill and see if it starts.

Honda cr 125 new top end rebuild started ok but when switched of petrol leaks out of overflow tube every couple of minuates
sounds like the float in the carb is stuck or set to the wrong hight give the carb a few taps with a screwdriver if that dont work take the carb off and check the float and needle.
