What is wrong with the tank?? Rust? If not, the same gunk in the tank is in the carbs, They need to be cleaned too. If it is rust, you can clean and seal the tank like new again, with a little elbow grease and a product called POR, (paint over rust), It works great. leaves the tank looking like brand new inside, if it is gummed up from sitting, you will need to soak everything in carb cleaner, and scrub and clean and scrub and rub and wipe and pick out gunk till it is squeaky clean. Then maybe it will run. The jets in the carbs are super sensitive, the slightest spec of dirt or the tiniest clog, it will not run right. Check it out, hope this helps.

With the motorcycle engine cold , located the radiator cap on or just behind the radiator and fill the radiator to the top. Then, locate the over flow bottle often placed down by your feet and fill the bottle to the high mark. Ride the motorcycle and recheck the level of the over flow bottle after the cool down period. Top up as needed.

check /replace spark plugs,clean carbs.

It depends which motor is in your machine ( if it has been changed ). Early models of the vt600 shadow were four speed transmissions. Later they added fifth gear. Your cycle in 1993 was a 4 speed model.

I(f it is the cylinder head gasket, definitely not. If it is just a cover plate or the tappet cover, and the original is not a preformed rubber gasket, you can make a gasket out of gasketing material.

Yes, the battery is under the seat. If you need to access the fuses, you will also need to remove the side cover (I think it's the left one on your bike).

take the screw out of the chrome ignition switch cover. Remove the cover. There are two bolts that hold the ignition switch on. you may have to drill or grind off the tops of the bolts if they are anti-theft bolts. You can replace them with standard screws or bolts.

there is two little screws bottom on seat, just between driver and passengers seats.

No, but your key code is stamped on every lock on the bike. It is a six digit code that you will find, EXAMPLE : 345A56 A56 is the key code or 515345 345 is the key code. Take your ignition switch off and take it to a dealer or locksmith they will look at the number and make you a key. You key code may be written in your owners manual or you may remember the number stamped on you key.

There is an allen screw between the two seats. Disconnect the screw and you just lift it up.

You either have a broken/disconnected wire or you have a bad starter button. The starter button is a two position switch. Push it in half way and the headlight turns off. Push it in all the way and the solenoid engages the starter. The button is either dirty or broken.

the drain plug is under the motor in left front of the crankcase it faces the out side not straight down, and it is behind the radiator hose. riding the bike at 500 miles at 70 mph will not hurt the oil you only need to change the oil every 3000 miles.

the clamps go on the frame at the radiator, use rubber strips to protect the frame (custom paint.)

Look in between where the two seats meet, there're bolts, you'll need allen keys to access them. Get them out and pull up the seats, they'll come up together as one. Hopefully that'll help ya, english not my first language... Liga

new pipes needed,,,its a stupid thing to do to rip out the baffles it only makes the bike run very week and it then go's a lot slower??? see stupid hu?

Normally, Honda fuel tanks are rubber mounted. There are two posts on the frame at the front of the tank which the tank has corresponding sockets. At the rear (hidden by the seat) there is a rubber tab arrangement that holds the back in place. Remove the seat and it should come right off. Dont forget to disconnect the fuel line ... and ... turn off the fuel valve FIRST!
