I would check that the coil wires are making good contact (on the low voltage side) and run the bike in the dark while looking at the high voltage leads. If you see sparks, or bluish lights anywhere on the high voltage system it means that the insulation is breaking down and you will then have to replace the HT leads or coil.

Buells don't have a cam chain or an adjuster for the cams. at least on everything before the 1125r they don't.

Factory service manual - do a google search for it - you will mess the head up if you don't follow the process to a tee.

Sounds like it isn't getting fuel. is the on/off/res valve in the RES position? You might have just ran it out of gas.

Have the carburetor serviced, it needs to be cleaned.

There isn't one unless someone installed one afterward. There is a in tank strainer that is built into the fuel valve on the bottom of the gastank tho - remove the valve and drain the gas out completely when you do this. DO NOT put the old gas back in the bike. Put fresh gas from the gas station in. the old fuel WILL HAVE WATER IN IT.

Carburator needs to be serviced. Take it in for work.

If the motor is spinning over - the starter is fine. If it has been in the rain - it probably has water in the gastank and in the carburetor. It needs to be serviced. Take it to a shop and have them give the bike a tune up where they clean the carb, flush the tank and replace the plug.

The bike WILL NOT CHARGE A BAD BATTERY AND IT WILL NOT RUN THE BIKE WITH A DEAD BATTERY. Replace the battery!!!

Sometimes the switches get stuck, don't be afraid to shoot some WD40 in them to get the tumblers moving again. best to use some graphite lube in there when you get the key out.
