If your bike is like most others you loosen the bolt going through the shift lever under the shaft that lever attaches to. You may have to completely remove bolt and spread by inserting screwdriver into gap below shaft. Now pull lever off shaft and put it back on either higher or lower as you desire.

Honda 500 TRX fa6 has PS on the dash….what does it mean ?

The Power Steering has failed. There has been a factory recall for a suddenly failing electrical steering shaft, that could cause the rider to loose control. This does not have to be your problem but anyhow either the electronics or the pump failed. Error codes or messages usually have to be erased by a simple reset procedure or disconnecting a plug, after repairs are done.

Question edited for clarity, but no idea what you mean by - "What do I need to do to get the gay? The clutching gauge in again?" You issue is probably that all the clutch plates are glued together. Leaving a bike for 21 years will do that. https://www.google.com/search?q=1985+Honda+Gold+Wing+1200+stuck+clutch ..

1987 Honda VFR 700F Interceptor wiring diagram for the RC26 Japanese model. I need a wiring diagram for it please?

Question edited for clarity. The RC26 has a few modifications, but nothing that should alter the wiring.

1986-1987 - VFR700F / VFR700F2 (RC26)

The "Tariff Buster"[ 700cc VFR700F was almost identical to the 750cc version, with minor changes to graphics (no 750 on the lower fairing), shorter stroke, different cams, and altered ignition timing. Otherwise the VFR700F2 was mechanically the same as the standard F, but had an upgraded rear shock and fork internals alongside square gauges. What to torque the head on my 99 CBR 929 Honda in

For a 1999 Honda CBR929RR, the cylinder head bolt torque specifications are essential to ensure proper engine assembly and function. When tightening the cylinder head bolts, it's crucial to follow the manufacturer's recommended torque settings to prevent damage to the engine components. For the CBR929RR, the cylinder head bolt torque specifications are typically as follows: 1. **Initial Torque:** 29 Nm (2.9 kgf-m, 22 ft-lbs) 2. **Final Torque:** 64 Nm (6.4 kgf-m, 47 ft-lbs) It's essential to tighten the cylinder head bolts in the specified sequence and in multiple stages, gradually increasing the torque until reaching the final specified torque. The exact tightening sequence can usually be found in the service manual specific to your motorcycle model. When torquing the head bolts, ensure you're using a reliable torque wrench calibrated in the appropriate units (Nm or ft-lbs). Always follow the tightening sequence precisely to ensure even pressure distribution across the cylinder head gasket. Additionally, it's advisable to use new cylinder head bolts if the old ones have been previously tightened or stretched beyond their yield point. This helps maintain proper clamping force and ensures the integrity of the engine assembly. As always, referring to the service manual or consulting a professional mechanic experienced with motorcycle engine assembly can provide additional guidance and ensure the correct torque settings are applied during the cylinder head installation process.

2006 Honda Shadow Arrow 750 VT missing on the rear cylinder fire

. One possibility is that the spark plug or plug wire is faulty 1. Another possibility is that the carburetor needs cleaning and adjustment It could also be due to a valve adjustment issue or a bent rod. I would recommend taking your motorcycle to a professional mechanic who can diagnose and fix the issue. If you prefer to troubleshoot it yourself, you can start by checking the spark plug and plug wire for any damage or wear and cleaning the carburetor. However, please note that working on a motorcycle engine can be dangerous and requires specialized knowledge and tools. Please take all necessary safety precautions and follow the manufacturer's instructions when working on your motorcycle.

Do you set the intake and exhaust valves at the same time when it is on TDC on my 1985 honda 350x three wheeler

It is a 4 valve, 4 stroke engine so only one of the strokes has both sets or valves closed. The is called the combustion stroke. With the spark plug removed you can turn the engine at the crankshaft bolt. Drop a pencil into the combustion chamber at at TDC you will see the pencil rise to its highest point before it starts to go back down. That is when you measure the valve clearance.

When my Honda VTX is hot it stops going

If your 2002 Honda VTX 1800 loses power to the wheels when it gets hot, it could be due to several potential issues. Here are a few possible causes to consider:
  1. Overheating: Check the cooling system of your motorcycle, including the coolant level, radiator, and cooling fan. If the engine is overheating, it can lead to loss of power. Ensure that the cooling system is functioning properly and that there are no blockages or leaks.
  2. Fuel delivery issues: When the engine gets hot, fuel delivery problems can occur. Check the fuel system components, including the fuel pump, fuel filter, and carburetors (if applicable). Make sure they are clean, free from clogs, and functioning correctly. If necessary, clean or replace these components.
  3. Ignition system problems: Heat can affect the ignition system, leading to weak spark or misfiring. Inspect the ignition coils, spark plugs, and spark plug wires. Ensure they are in good condition and properly connected. Replace any worn-out or damaged components as needed.
  4. Exhaust system obstruction: A partially blocked or restricted exhaust system can cause a loss of power when the engine gets hot. Inspect the exhaust pipes, mufflers, and catalytic converter (if equipped). Look for any obstructions, such as debris or carbon buildup, and clean or remove them.
  5. Clutch issues: If the clutch is not engaging properly when the engine is hot, it can result in a loss of power to the wheels. Check the clutch assembly, including the clutch plates, springs, and cable (if applicable). Ensure that the clutch is adjusted correctly and operating smoothly.
  6. Electrical problems: Heat can affect electrical components, leading to intermittent power loss. Inspect the wiring harness, connectors, and electrical connections. Look for loose or corroded connections, damaged wires, or faulty components. Repair or replace any problematic electrical parts.
  7. Engine performance issues: If none of the above issues are present, it's possible that there could be internal engine problems causing the loss of power. In this case, it's recommended to consult a qualified motorcycle mechanic or Honda dealer for a more thorough diagnosis and inspection.
Remember to follow proper safety precautions and consult the service manual for your specific motorcycle model during the troubleshooting process. If you're not confident in diagnosing or fixing the issue yourself, it's best to seek professional assistance to ensure a proper and accurate resolution.

We're does the hose on the bottom of the carburetor go on a 2007 honda crf 100

The hose on the bottom of the carburetor of a 2007 Honda CRF 100 should be connected to the carburetor overflow drain tube. The overflow drain tube is a small tube located on the bottom of the carburetor bowl. It is designed to allow excess fuel to drain from the bowl and prevent flooding of the carburetor. To connect the hose to the overflow drain tube, first locate the tube on the bottom of the carburetor bowl. Next, slide the end of the hose onto the tube and secure it with a hose clamp if necessary. It is important to make sure the hose is securely attached to the drain tube to prevent fuel leakage.

The 2018 Honda Grom CDI power wiring diagram

Here is a basic wiring diagram for the CDI power circuit on a 2018 Honda Grom:
  1. The CDI power wire is typically a red wire that runs from the ignition switch to the CDI unit.
  2. The ignition switch is usually located on the right side of the handlebar and has three wires connected to it: a red wire, a black wire, and a white wire.
  3. The red wire from the ignition switch connects to the red wire on the CDI unit.
  4. The black wire from the ignition switch is typically a ground wire that connects to the frame of the motorcycle.
  5. The white wire from the ignition switch is usually a power wire that supplies power to the headlight and other accessories.
  6. The CDI unit converts the power from the ignition switch into a high-voltage spark that ignites the fuel in the engine.
Note: This is a general wiring diagram and the wire colors and connections may vary depending on the specific model and year of the Honda Grom. It is important to refer to the owner's manual or a detailed wiring diagram specific to your motorcycle for accurate information. Additionally, modifying the electrical system of your motorcycle may void the warranty and could cause damage or injury if done improperly
