Try connecting the battery, while alarm is blaring, lock the door with the button on the inside of the door, shut the door, unlock with the key, then start. It worked on a friends durango.
you don't, all your locking system, security everything runs through this system. you have 1 actuator (could be a rod) that tells your computer is locked is not working, that is all
If the car alarm keeps shutting off you should take it to a mechanic who fixes cars. The alarm in the car is a motion sensor when the car is locked but the sensor is turned off.if the sensor is still on the alarm could go on. The alarms sound comes from a bell inside the car and it vibrates against the inside of the car. The bell could be getting rusty.
any mobile locksmith can get you into the trunk. or at least cut a key for the door and ignition and then use the inside trunk release. They will tell you the cost up front.
Your local dealer may be able to cut a key using the vin number.
Just a quick note once you hook the battery back up try locking it and unlocking it from the drivers door, if that fails you might try the passenger door. I know on some chrysler products you have to lock and lock again to arm and unlock to disarm. I hope this helps. Thanks, Joey
I have the same problem i have a 98 and my neighbors left notes on my car already hahahahahaha what do i do is there a way to just disconect the alarm at all with out afecting other systems oh pls let me know
replace battery in the remote. There should be instructions in the manual if you have one. I believe you need to replace battery and make sure remote is working. then you unlock and lock doors while holding the trunk button do this several time until you let go of unlock button and the locks move by themselves. This is how you reset the car security system. The reason it does this is so no one can steal the car. Or take it to a dealer and ask them to fix the alarm. I hope this helps the owner of the car. lol
the contacts in your ignition module are either weak or shorting. the module is located in the steering coloumn. also the connection to the module could be the fault as well. check the connections first then replace the module. you can buy it at Napa or Oreillys for alot less than at a dealer and installation is not that difficult.. please rate.......thanks
