SOURCE: vibration in motor

If you have the car computer scanned, which many auto parts stores will do free of charge, you will be able to retrieve a code that can point you in the excact direction of the problem. Without being there myself, the only thing I can say to try that I did not see mentioned is to check the fuel injector on the #4 cylinder. They sell a tool called a noid light, you can disconnect the injector and connect this tool to the wires to see if you are getting an injector pulse. If you are getting a pulse then you may have a bad fuel injector.

Check the gap setting on plugs. Also change the O2 sensor. This is usually the check engine light, or EGR-valve. You could also change it too. Then pull positive battery post off for a minute. THis should reset the computer.

Why would the left side output shaft keep leaking after repced 3 timeson 1994 saturn sl2

There is a bearing or bushing that is possibly worn out or there is a groove worn in the axle shaft where the seal rides. Have any other parts been replaced.

My 2000 saturn sl2 doesnt go in reverse. could the fix be a nut that is behind a plate in the front wheel, drivers side

Famous problem for saturn, yes that bolt (output shaft) has come loose, and it only gets worse-You have to buy a new one, and get one for the input shaft while you are at it-saying that, I'll add some people get away with draining the trans (about 5 quarts) and remove the spin on filter, and refil with 4 quarts of Dextron III and one quart of a trans cleaner/solvent. Then park the car so that the rear of the car is resting against a wall, or telephone pole, something substantial and stationary-Put the car in reverse, and let it idle for 30-40 minutes. It cleans out the valve body (sometimes) enough so that the pressures are high enough to give you back some reverse-it worked for me (99 SL2, 178,000 miles)-You need to drain that mixture out after a short while and put in 5 quarts of Dextron and another filter (trans fluid changes are so easy in a Saturn, like changing engine oil-easy). If you end up doing the bolt fix, you should also do the valve body fix too, that is get a rebuilt one from one of the people who do them all the time-it is a little cottage industry and you can find them on Saturn car forums.

How can the speed governor be removed on a 1993 saturn sl2, 1.9 liter with manual transmission?

i owned 5 saturns and i never heard of a speed governor on one. mine were all 4 cylinders and would top out at the end of the engine's oomph, not from any mechanical limitation.

91 saturn SL2 started leaking trans fluid between the bell housing and motor it is a 5 speed

You have a transmission front seal that has gone bad. The transmission will have to be removed and new seals installed.

1999 saturn sl2 transmission wont shift from 1st gear

Your valve body and possibly input shaft nut need to be replaced. The valve body's booster valve is worn down and won't create pressure. Before it went completely out it slammed on the input shaft nut and loosened it.

You need to replace the valve body and retorque the input shaft nut. The transmission is not junk. The above needs to be replaced and change the filter and fluid and do it every 20K miles.

1994 saturn sl2 automatic, with really bad oil leak.

There are only two paths for oil there. The rear main, and a oil galley plug a little higher up, about 2 o'clock.
