My 1993 Saturn drives very well then without any warning it just loses power and slows to a crawl. If you even turn the engine off and restart it, it still sits there untilit build back up and decides to move. What can the problem be? The light to have engine serviced soon is on. Do you think servicing will take care of the problem?

SOURCE: 2002 Saturn Service Engine Soon

The check engine light could come on for a variety of reasons. Your car is loaded with electronic solenoids with voltages running to them. If you are getting low voltage at a Throttle Positioning Sensor for instance you will get a code for that. For around $100.00 at WalMart you can pick up a Code Reader. It will give you a code that you can look up in a service manual and it will tell you what the computer is reading as the problem. It will only get you in the ballpark, not diagnose the problem. For that you can utilize this forum or you can take it to the dealer or a repair shop and they can diagnose it for you, but in any event the Check Engine light doesn't come on for no reason even if the car seems to be running fine.

Yup. The throttle body connectors have a history of failing on these cars. Replace the throttle body and the wire connectors that go to it, and you're back in business. Not terribly difficult and you can get the parts from any dealer. Saturn actually has a bulletin out on this problem but they won't cover it unless you're under warranty - no recall for this.

Radiator has power with key off in my 1996 Saturn sl2 please help

It is supposed to. If the water temperature is above a certain point, the fan will run even if the engine is off to cool it down. There is a warning label to that effect near the top of the radiator. If you really need it off, unplug the fan wire, but don't do any city driving without it plugged back in.

Saturn vue will start but will only stay runnuing about twenty minutes then stalls wont start

Does the car loose power before stalling or does it simply die without warning? If it loses power first, you're likely looking at a fuel pump or fuel system problem. If it just dies, you probably have an ignition problem. Does the check engine light come on before it dies?

This may be due to a failing antitheft system. This is very common on Gm vehicles. Read everything on this link. Next time this happens, look for a light on the dash that says "security". if you don't have a gas cap on the car or if it is on too loosely then that is a possibility. Only other thing I could think of would be water in your fuel. You may try a bottle of "heat" (I think that is how you spell it) at your local auto parts store and chunk it in the gas can. if there were any problems with water that should be the cure.
