If you have an awd light coming on then you have an awd transmission(car).if the brake pedal is pulsing while pushing on it to come to a stop then it sounds like the rotors are warped and need replacing.this can be caused by alot of heat build up on the rotors,a lot of miles on them, the wheel nuts were not torqued when tightened, rotors are rusting and coming apart,a loose brake pad moving around.get the brakes checked.

Where is 1-2shift solenoid valve located on a Saturn Vue 3.6

The 1-2 shift solenoid valve on a Saturn Vue 3.6 is typically located in the transmission. The exact location of the solenoid valve can vary depending on the year and model of the vehicle, but it is commonly found inside the transmission's valve body. The valve body is the area of the transmission that houses the shift valves and controls the flow of transmission fluid to control the gear shifts.
It's important to note that accessing and replacing a shift solenoid valve on a transmission can be a difficult and complex task that requires special tools and knowledge. It is not recommended to attempt this repair unless you have experience working on transmissions and have the proper tools and equipment. It's also important to consult the Saturn Vue 3.6 service manual or a professional mechanic or transmission specialist to have the proper steps and safety procedures to follow.

Need to perform rear brake pad change on 2006 Volvo V70 AWD 2,5T wagon

brakes are brakes, push in , turn in, or two piece calipers. remove wheel , remove two bolts that hold caliper in place, remove replace pads if rotors look good if not remove caliper retainer and rotor replace or have resurfaced at local part store with service. if push in piston push in with c-clamp or piston tool, if turn in will be solid on top with slots for tool to turn in turn to right, tool can be gotten at parts store, if two piece take apart and put back then bleed brakes.

After switching from 4x4 LOW back to AWD, the transmission stayed in 4x4LOW.

This happens now and again on 4X4's. You must not continue to operate it on normal "dry" surfaces until you disengage these hubs. Permanent damage will result. First thing to do is make sure you are on wet, loose gravel, sand, dirt, etc. Switch transfer case back to 4Low. With steering straight move a little forward and without hitting the brake slip in neutral allowing truck to come to rest by itself. Switch Transfer case to next position, I assume 4low. Place in drive and drive forward and backward until you feel it come out of 4 low. You don't have to drive it crazy back and forth, just 5MPH normal back and forth maybe 20 feet forward and 20 feet backward. It's good to allow the truck to stop by itself allowing the hubs to spin freely then placing in reverse doing the same. Apply brake, repeat until unlocked. You may find that if it is not unlocking, try to push lever back into 4low, power on, the release accelerator, switch to 4high all the while it is drifting and gently power on again. If you drive on solid surfaces ignoring the driveline, you will bind the axles and destroy some element of your drive line...The weakest points first. Hope this help and do not forget to rate this high if it helped you.

My 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe (2.7L FWD) does not stop that great. Were the calipers on this vehicle the same as the calipers on a 2004 with the 3.5L engine? Please advise. Also, if they are different, would...

There are definitely a lot of times when brakes will feel completely different from one car to the next but if it seems like you are having to push hard just for normal braking then there is probably something wrong.  My father recently purchased a new SUV and had the same problem but just figured it was the new car but when I checked the brakes there were down to about 5% and about to start scraping metal on metal.  Before you go and try to change calipers, I would suggest checking the pads to see how much is left and checking the brake fluid.  If I had to bet, I would say that you just need to do a brake job and you will be stopping with much less effort.  You want to see that you have a least 1/4 inch of pad left, if not I would change them out.  Let me know if you need any more help with this.  Keith

1991 AWD CARAVAN TRANSMISSION

Unfortunately, this will not work. it seems like a good fit but in my experience, i have had problem with synchronizing the FWD with the AWD assembly. the CPU will not work as well. tried it twice with no success. It will be best to just continue to hunt for a twin AWD assembly to replce the failed one.
