But is the fuel pump working.if you remove the air snorkel and spray intake cleaner into the intake while someone tries to start the car and it starts then you have a fuel problem.either the pump, plugged fuel filter, fuel injectors not working, dirt in the fuel system.check the fuel pressure if it doesn`t start when spraying cleaner into the intake.

Hey guys, my caravan started this morning then shut off and won't start again. Heres what I did so far checked fuel pump fuse good, fuel pump relay good swapped with other. Removed neg battery cab

If you have voltage at the fuse and relay, and at the pump, but no fuel pressure, I would say the pump has died or the tank is empty.
Have you checked for voltage at the pump yet ?

1998 mercury mystique won't start / has spark / has fuel / cranks/

Fuel in the tank does not mean fuel in the injectors. Run a fuel pressure test to see how much fuel pressure there is. Also check the injector pulse with a noide test light. The injectors may not be getting a ground to fire because of a bad fuse.

Have a 2001 jaguar vanden plas. It won't start. It cranks fine battery is good but it won't turn over. I have been told could be fuel filter and or fuel pump. If you agree how do i change

To confirm that is is the fuel pump at issue here get a can of spray starting fluid and next time it won't fire up spray it into the air intake hose of the engine while someone cranks the engine over, if it lights right off then the pump may be the problem. A clogged fuel filter may cause loss of power but seldom if ever a no start.

Car has been sitting; will turn over but won't start. Used starting fluid and car starts but quits. Won't fire without starting fluid. There is fuel in the tank. Help!!

My first thought is to check the fuel pump operation.
Check to see if fuel pump is getting power.

This is how I check the pump.

Usually there is an in-line fuel filter that can be removed.
While its removed...bump the starter to see if gas shoots out the gas line.
If not, there might be a clog at the pump...or the pump needs replacing.

Hope this helps...

1994 gmc surburban turns over fine but engine won't start

You can check to see if the fuel pump is bad..Remove gas cap and listen into tank while another person turns key on.If you here a buzzing noise the fuel pump is most likely OK...If you don't here anything Check owners manual for fuse location and check to see if there are any blown..There is also a fuel relay fuse under the hood

yep i seen it in happen .i was at a gas station a guy drove car to the gas station on empty.he fill his tank up .could not get it to crank .some cars you have to restart fuel pump when run out of gas. like chrysler.you use a scanner. but chervrolet you run low over heat damage the pump.it has to stay submerge gas to keep it cool. check fuel pump pressure.it should be 41 - 47 psi.
