I have a 02 Saturn ion my son it the door lock three times and set the security on ! Now my car will not turn over !How do I turn off the security system to start the car? Im setting at the house and cant get to work!!!

If the locking seems continuous and almost glitchy I would buy new locks for both front doors. If it seems to be one timing lock and not acting glitchy then it most likely is a interference with a security alarm at that point I would disconnect the fuse for pwr locks as a quick fix.

You probably have to get the security code. Call your dealership and make sure you have all your vehicle information with you.

Your steering lock may me having an effect. next time you try to start it just jiggle the wheel back and forth while you try to turn the key.

Check security light, if it is flashing , it is set. try this, turn ignition on, don't try to start, let set for ten minutes on. turn off don't take the key out. do this three times ten minutes each, after the third time turn it off, then try to start. This resets the security. If this does not work, then it needs reprogrammed to the new computer you installed. dealer only, about $100.00

Put the key into the keyhole and turn it counter clockwise. Now, if you want to lock all doors without using the key or the remote key fob, you can press the lock button your door. The car will chime a few times, then shut your door. About 5 seconds later, all doors will lock. Neat, huh?

most likely a door pin switch or trunk switch malfunction or switch adjustment.hope this helps

You need to use the DIC to personalize your settings. The (2) buttons are located to the left of the instrument panel cluster or "spedometer". Press the info button until you see the "personalization" menu then scroll through until you find horn beep when locking.
If you have your owners manual, it will tell you how to set it.
If you don't, I know your local Saturn dealer will set it for you for free, its not to difficult.

check door jamb switches located at the end of the dash.

The fix for this problem is well known, so is the cause. GM needs to step up in my opinion. You can fix it yourself if you're willing

A door-closed switch is failing 'open', I suppose. Most likely the drivers' side one (which gets the most use?), but it could be any. Replace that ******! (Ask for details at the Saturn Parts counter.)
