Are you talking about the cts ( coolant tempurature sensor ) if so unplug it. if it runs better, replace sensor. Check the wiring before changing the sensor just in case. have a good day !! the cost veries, but it should not be more then 20.00,

a malfunctioning temperature sensor will often send incorrect information to the vehicle's on-board computer. As a result, when the vehicle reaches a normal operating speed the sensor may relay an incorrect signal to the computer that the engine is overheating resulting in engine shutdown. The vehicle will not be able to start again until the engine has completely cooled and will need to have the sensor replaced in order to prevent the recurrence of the problem.

Cold outside car went start

Sounds like the battery died. Cold temps are hard on a lead-acid battery. If the battery is cheap or has some age, it will show its true colors in very cold weather. Consider testing battery with multimeter or a battery load tester. If none are available, you can take the battery out and have it tested at the local auto store.

Heard constant squeel while driving, temp guage went to red . turned off van to let it cool. tried to start, it cranks but wont turn over

sounds like the water pump went bad and most likely if you check the coolant the
engine has overheated due to lack of coolant. This usually results in expensive
engine damage when it occurs. I really hope that it is something else less expensive.

Remove battery from your car and try the battery from the other car on your car to see if you car starts. Please note that the battery from the other car should be about the size of your car`s battery. This should help you determine if your battery is good or bad.....

I broke the car

by hotwiring the sensor, it is likely that you damaged it. Hopefully, the damage is isolated to that component and has not traveled into the computer or the gauge head itself. First I would change the sending unit, then start tracing the wiring back to determine what actually was wrong. You may get lucky and just changing the unit may fix the problem. To trace wiring, get a good manual with good diagrams. Also, have someone put a code reader on it to see if any codes are present that may be helpful (but remember, you may have set a code by doing what you did as well)

1995 CHEVROLET LUMINA TRANSMISSION PROBLEM

guest, you should really buy a shop manual for this car. giovachi, check the trans fluid level and see if it smells burnt. if it smells burnt, take the car to a transmission shop and have the transmission checked out by a specialist. your lights and guages acting up after a new engine was put in could be some wires didnt get plugged back in or even a bad ground somewhere, but I would go back to whoever installed the engine and make them fix it.
