2000 jeep grand cherokee, when idling keeps overheating have replaced radiator, water pump, radiator hose ,cap & thremostat, and relay. as long as Im driving the temp stays at 210, please offer solutions

Radiator cap,Thermostat, water pump, blocked or corroded radiator or heater core.

Is the fan working properly? Is the radiator flowing correctly? Does the rad cap hold the proper pressure?

Are you sure the radiator fan is kicking on?

That vehicle has a known problem with fan relays....

If the fans don't come on to cool the radiator then maybe it's the thermal fan switch, which sends the turn on signal to the fan relay, that might be bad.

1. On 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7L V8
2. Remove lower radiator hose clamp and lower radiator hose at thermostat housing.
3. Remove thermostat housing mounting bolts, thermostat housing and thermostat.

There is a radiator fan relay switch located inside the passenger headlight enclosure. You may to remove the front grill to get to it or cut a hole there and you will see the relay.Also in the fuse box under the hood there is another fuse. It might be labeled TCM. Hope this helps.

Sounds like your thermostat is stuck closed. Shouldn't be more than a $20 part from autozone and is simple to replace. Follow your top radiator hose to the motor and it will connect to your thermostat housing. Disconnect the hose (antifreeze will run out) unbolt the housing, and replace the old thermostat. Refill radiator and bleed the system.

sounds like one of two problems your fan is not working properly or you radiator is particularly restricted

Bad themostat, dirty radiator (the front of it), corroded interior core of the radiator, weakening water pump, bad radiator fan.....just to name a few. More than likely? Low antifreeze level, or the thermostat.

Once the radiator fan operates when hot, then that part of the system is fine. It definitely sounds like the radiator needs flushing out. I had this same problem with a taurus and I flushed the radiator out for a good twenty minutes; you should have seen the stuff that came out! Disconnect the lower hose and drain **** then stick the garden hose in the radiator cap. I would surely do this.
